51230. As a part of the course in American government and civics required for high school graduation pursuant to subparagraph (D) of paragraph (1) of subdivision (a) of Section 51225.3, all pupils shall read and be taught all of the following:

(a) The Declaration of Independence.

(b) The United States Constitution, including the Bill of Rights.

(c) Substantive selections from the Federalist Papers.

(d) The Emancipation Proclamation.

(e) The Gettysburg Address.

(f) George Washington's Farewell Address.

In District Policy, “ways” was substituted for the misspelled “wags”.

8-18-04: In Letter #2, under "Big Question", in the phrase "questions of their own", "there" was corrected to "their".

8-18-04: In "Communist Goals", the following was added:

[8-18-04. Use this link: <http://www.bible.com/answers/ahomosex.html>].

"seven" replaced "four" places in the Bible in the second sentence.

 1-3-04: An "r" was added to "you" to make it "your" after Schulman in The Coterie and in the Possibly Alleged List.

2-23-05: An "e" was removed from judgement to form the more correct judgment in Letter #1.
