Second Amendment Sisters

Prologue

Several conflicting opinions and facts offer confusion. Let's take a look at them.

1. Our forefathers wrote that a well armed citizenry was its best protection against aggression.
2. Martin Luther King told his people that they could not beat them with guns.
3. Government reports state that OUR government and military have weapons of horror to control the masses.
4. The total of our military forces is very small next to the number of armed citizens. Heads Up #146 (Flag)
5. OUR government is allowing the UN to station foreign troops on U.S. soil. They have conducted exercises in controlling American citizens.
6. OUR government maintains many prison camps in times of peace.
7. OUR Congress has passed laws to control civilian masses.
8. Clinton's and Gore's goons break, enter, seize, terrify and jail in brazen violation of our Constitution and its inherent Bill of Rights. This sets precedent.
9. Clinton keeps adding to his EOs to destroy our Constitution.
10. People like Senator Feinstein keep trying to remove our guns. Feinstein has had permits for TWO concealed weapons carry. Rumor on the street inside the Washington Beltway has it that Feinstein and Boxer got themselves appointed as federal marshals so they could carry guns, even on airplanes. I did not hire them to tell me they are better than I am, a crusty old Army veteran, family man and retired school teacher.
11. Over 30,000 anti-gun laws are on the books in America, but they do not stop the outlaws.
12. There are always more good guys that bad guys. Why is Congress restricting our gun ownership?
13. John Kenneth Galbraith wrote that all wars are won on the ground, including Bush's private Gulf War.
Summing it all up, it does seem that our leaders are trying to disarm us. If that is true, then there quite possibly is validity in their being afraid of an armed citizenry. Fiedor Report On the News wrote an excellent essay on this subject and the safety of decent citizens.
Well, I am not one to lay down like a sheeple and let them haul me off to prison. I grew up on a farm where we had guns. I am an army veteran. There being no need, I haven't had a gun for years. But now that I understand what is happening in WnDC, I have invested in guns and plenty of ammo. Other than target practice and hunting, I honestly hope I never have to use them, but nonetheless, I am now ready. I do not plan to go hunting for trouble with them, but if trouble knocks my door down while I am here, there will be a response.
As time permits, well edited and documented articles on the subject will appear here. We must remain level headed.

Yeah, sure. And the answer to the snakebite problem is not to teach our kids to cut your average cantankerous rattler a wide berth when spotted in the woods, but rather to launch a billion-dollar federal program to capture, anaesthetize, and de-fang every venomous reptile on the continent.

(Well, perhaps not all at once. We could start with "reasonable, modest" reptile control -- only scale-printing and registering the serial numbers of the biggest, meanest-looking snakes, while requiring that manufacturers provide each new hatchling with a "fang lock.")
