Bureau of Land Management (BLM) cut off the farmers' water.

Stan Thompson
and his stile which was used by the crowd to scale the fence to gain access to the demilitarized zone (DMZ).

Stan was summoned to the Federal District Court in Eugene, Oregon,

Judge Ann Aiken presiding.

Having once owned a paralegal firm, Stan has already punched holes in his summons.

This could prove interesting.

The Bypass Line To maintain pressure on the federal government
and

maintain media interest,

the farmers constructed a 10 inch siphon of welded steel pipe to

bypass the Headgates.

This siphon carries much more water than the previous pump line.

Lots of strong farmer hands did the job.
That arc welder got plenty hot on someone's hand.

Armed Agents Watching

Armed agents from the US Fish and Wildlife (USFW) watch from behind their barricade. Not shown is the cage they built around the gate controls. At least these agents were friendly.

The siphon line empties into A Canal below the Headgates.
Forest humorously suggested that the sucker fish be employed to start the siphon running. At least that way some good would come of that notorious trash fish.

The Bypass Siphon Worked

The Dam The dam that inundated the natural Klamath Falls is located at the lower end of Upper Klamath Lake and at the head of the Link River. The huge pipeline to the power generating plant is on the far side of the dam, not visible here.

Though a trickle
