Many people hesitate to call their congressional representatives for fear of embarrassing questions the politicians might toss back to them. Also, the question of just how to say what, causes hesitation. To alleviate this dilemma, U-Write has been created. Carefully worded sentences are there for the copying. This keeps you on subject and brief. You don’t even have to think. Just copy as directed.
Proper letter form is demonstrated. Proper addresses for the bay area in California are listed. Other areas and states can follow the pattern.
Please note: It is best to write to them at their local address to beat the volume. Some of those people receive thousands of pieces of mail weekly, even daily, at their Washington DC office. So, send it to their local address.
Always be polite. Rudeness will end up in the basket. You can be business-like and firm, but you must show respect. After all, you are asking for something, even if they are working for you.
Of great importance - hand write the letter in your own hand writing. Be neat and legible. Hand written and signed letters are powerful.
Be unique. Each letter must be different. Mass copied letters will go straight to the trash.
Always show your return address. Otherwise the politician can toss your letter in the basket with no qualms. You must legibly show your address if you expect an answer.
If you should get a reply, simply select an answer from the letter format. The less you say, the less you can goof up. You can also refer them to the Jolly Tax web page for some long over due study. We must all do our part to overcome the serious problems facing this nation. And we can do it. It is so simple, if only you will write some letters!
