CIA and the
U. S. BBK Market

It is generally known, but difficult and dangerous to prove, that the CIA is heavily involved in the illegal BBK market for clandestine profit. One reliable source told Forest Glen Durland that the CIA controlled over 70 percent of the illegal BBK market in the United States. He would not state his proof for fear of the CIA killing the witnesses.
When former Congressman George Hansen appeared at a prominent high school as a guest of Forest Glen Durland to talk to students, attempts were made to get publicity with the San Jose Mercury News (the Merc). A strange set of circumstances followed, serving as first hand proof that the mainstream media is indeed controlled.
The CIA had been exposed in a then hot series by Gary Webb called "Dark Alliance". The Merc had been "attacked" by several other national newspapers about the credence of the series. The Merc editor seemed to be straddling the fence. Something strange was afoot. Since George Hansen knew first hand about the involvement of BBKs by the CIA, Forest Glen Durland attempted to get Hansen and the Merc together. This was a natural and would have been great for the students. But the Merc actually back pedaled. That's right -- the Merc actually back pedaled. Forest could hardly believe it all.
Later Forest Glen Durland found out the reason. Author Gary Webb soon thereafter parted ways with the Merc and wrote a book that continues the story: Dark Alliance.
