The Constitution of the U.S., Article IV, Section 4 states that the United States shall protect the States against invasion.
That sure sounds like the federal government should protect our borders.
It also sounds like a State could force Congress to act or leave it alone concerning our alien invasion.

In the Primary Election in California in 2002 in Saratoga in Santa Clara County, voting material was available at the voting booths in four languages: English, Spanish and two Asian languages, probably Chinese and Vietnamese. This seriously raised by curiousity. I had thought that the ability to read and write English was a required to obtain citizenship. Something is bad wrong with this picture.
