The big lie told by anti-gun socialist in our nation is that U.S. police officers are supportive of restrictions on the private ownership of firearms. This lie is continually reinforced by America's leftist media while, at the same time, they knowingly, (and "hypocritically,") promote a more violent society by submerging our nations impressionable youth beneath thousands of hours of violence, mayhem and immorality, through television and movie theaters every month across America.
As police officers, you and I know that there is not a organization of any kind in government that believes MORE in the right and necessity of every household possessing firearms than do our nation's Street Soldiers, i.e. local police officers.
And why is this true ? Because every one of us has been, on far too many occasions to count, the unwilling participant in cleaning up what remains of the unarmed citizen who become the victims of heinous crimes of violence at the hands of anti-social individuals who have been reared by our nations amoral humanist educational system and liberal, anti-America media/press.
Here are some of the true statistics on how you, our country's police command officials, actually feel about guns in the hands of your fellow Americans.
* 90% do not agree that by banning ANY FIREARMS (assault rifles, shotguns, or handguns,) there will be a reduction in crime, nor will it stop criminals from obtaining weapons.
* 88% do not agree that by banning the ownership of firearms by private citizens will result in fewer crimes committed with firearms.
* 86% believe that it was not for "hunting and target shooting" that the 2nd amendment was placed in the U.S. Constitution, but, for every citizen to be able to #1- defend their person and property, and #2- to defend this nation from all enemies both FOREIGN and DOMESTIC that may come against the REPUBLIC.
* 71% do not believe that a "waiting period" will have any effect on the criminal obtaining firearms.
IN ADDITION: You, the nation's police command officials, feel this way about the U.S. MEDIA
* 96% are critical about the manner in which the media presented particular crimes such as shootings, riots etc.
* 90% resents the hypocritical manner in which the media hypes violence and at the same time promotes the banning of firearms for law-abiding citizens.
Those on the front line in law enforcement know that it is of great benefit to the goals of the anti-gun socialist to lie about the support that their political agenda has with U.S. Lawmen. A good example is presented here: The continual announcing and publishing that the (leftist) International Assoc. of Chiefs of Police's political views, (which are against private ownership of firearms,) represent the views of main-stream law enforcement across the U.S..
In actuality, when polled about political and criminal justice issues in the past it is the "non-command" patrol officers in our nation that tend to be even more conservative than the majority of command officials from which the above poll was conducted.
For the record, a special thanks from Aid & Abet News goes to Police Capt. Gerald S. Arenberg, Executive Director of the American Federation of Police, for the poll statistics. It was his group and the National Assoc. of Chiefs of Police that conducted this poll among 16,259 police command officers in state, county and city police agencies which produced these "honest" survey results. Too bad you won't read these accurate "stats" in the anti-gun daily press.
