(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Today, House Judiciary Committee spokesman Paul J. McNulty made the following statement regarding the House Managers' interviewing of potential witnesses:
"The Committee contacted Monica Lewinsky's attorneys to determine whether she would be available for an interview. They declined to make her available. The Committee is duty bound to gather all relevant evidence and to be thoroughly prepared to present its case in the Senate. Implicit in the House's right to request witnesses is the responsibility of the Managers to determine who those witnesses will be."
