10295 Establishing a Seal for the United States Court of Military Appeals Signed: September 28, 1951 Federal Register page and date: 16 FR 10011, October 2, 1951 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Executive Order 10295--Establishing a seal for the United States Court of Military Appeals Source: The provisions of Executive Order 10295 of Sept. 28, 1951, appear at 16 FR 10011, 3 CFR, 1949-1953 Comp., p. 825, unless otherwise noted. WHEREAS the United States Court of Military Appeals has caused to be made and has recommended that I approve a seal of office for the United States Court of Military Appeals, the design of which accompanies and is hereby made a part of this order, and which is of the following description: In front of a silver sword, point up, a gold and silver balance supporting a pair of silver scales, encircled by an open wreath of oak leaves, green with gold acorns; all on a grey blue background and within a dark blue band edged in gold and inscribed "UNITED STATES COURT OF MILITARY APPEALS" in gold letters; AND WHEREAS it appears that such seal is of suitable design and appropriate for establishment as the official seal of the United States Court of Military Appeals: NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the authority vested in me as President of the United States, I hereby approve such seal as the official seal of the United States Court of Military Appeals. -------------------- Editorial note: An illustration of the seal, which was attached to and made a part of Executive Order 10295, is printed in 3 CFR, 1949-1953 Comp., p. 826.
