shortly after the EO surfaced, before the EO was given a number.
It deals with EO 13083 (Executive Order 13083), a most carnal illegality.

Guess What, Folks
Hey, Fellas and Gals -- it sure seems to me that we have made an impression on the PresidentS Clinton. By taking all the facts and putting them together, a couple of ideas show up. Here's what I see:
Seems certain Executive Orders on the White House web page got their numbers removed. But those same EOs have numbers elsewhere. Now, why do you suppose that strange indexing system would happen? Maybe, just maybe, someone who really runs the White House might be getting tired of all of us nosy people digging into those public files, so they removed the numbers just to make it difficult for us to designate them for discussion. Also, because there are two different Executive Orders with the same date, people easily get thrown off the track.
I remember someone writing to me, talking about the Indian treatment in an EO dated 5-14-98, the same date as the Order on Federalism. Today it dawned on me why. I posted the OTHER EO on this page. One is on Federalism, the other on Indian Affairs. Both were signed in England very quietly. Even a journalist in Russia picked up on that one.
So, folks, it seems to me that we have made our mark. Let's keep busy playing this real life, hide and seek, Internet scramble game. And let's keep up the pressure on Congress. Those guys and gals sat on their fat salaries and let EO 13083 become law. Come November we must answer them.
Incidentally, each one of those Congress Critters gets $133,600 each per year, plus big bucks in perks and bennies. All we get for paying their salaries is oppressive laws like EO 13083, made law without Congress. Sure seems blatantly unconstitutional.

Definitions
To cope with this serious and debilitating problem, I have coined a new term: EL - Executive Law. You see, Executive Order is not the only name used. There are others that are more serious. We must force Congress to inhibit all of them. Hence the new term, EL for Executive Law, to group and include all of them to prevent the president from weaseling out of any of them.
Here are some definitions for your convenience from my CO6. Simply add a small s to make it plural: EL, ELs.
Here's What's Happening
Please take this seriously, folks. Our Constitution and its inherent Bill of Rights are about to suffer another serious set back. We are about to lose it!
[Note: EO 13132 has replace EO 13083 as the menace. It becomes law in Nov 99.]
On May 14, President Clinton (meaning Bill this time) signed an Executive Order that gives federal regulators power over state and local governments. This is just about as anti-Constitution as it can get. You just don't do that. It will be the end to America as we old timers once knew it. If you think it bad now, think what it will be like after August 12. That is when it will become effective if Congress does not act.
Federal law automatically makes EOs law 30 days from signing if the EO is not challenged by Congress. (At least that is my understanding of the law. I must find a copy, if it is, in fact, available.) EO #13083 states that it will become effective in 90 days from signing.
Instead of telling us about it, Clinton signed the EO (executive order) in England in great secret. An alert researcher dug it out of the White House web page. Thank heavens for the internet. He also signed another EO at that same time and place. Neither EO has a number, making it difficult to locate them.
To get Congress off their dead fuds and doing something requires you calling them. Tell them to
"Please stop the Executive Order on Federalism from becoming effective on August 12. It will destroy our Constitution and its inherent Bill of Rights. It is EO #13083 entitled Federalism." You can tell them to "Visit www.uhuh.com to read about it if they have any questions."
Please note: The address of this EO #13083 file in the White House archives keeps changing. It appears that one of the Clintons keeps moving it to make it difficult to locate. Also, the numbers have been removed from at least some of the EOs in the White House, causing difficulty in locating them. There are now TWO EOs dated May 14, 1998. Please explain this to your Congressional Representatives. Use Federalism in your search. So, if someone gives you the long address, don't be surprised if it doesn't work. (As of 6-15-98) The orginal EO is re-printed here.

In case you are wondering, I am trying desperately to save this country for my kids and grandkids. It is that bad. And I am well documented. I have to be to keep the men in dark suits away, at least for a while.

Update on 12-12-98. Thanks to this site and many others, Clinton was exposed and forced to suspend EO 13083. But it has NOT been negated. Some worthy members of Congress slipped an amendment into the Omnibus Appropriations Bill that defunded EO 13083. Good work. But Clinton could find a way around that, knowing Slick Willie.

Forest, You noted that they keep moving EO 13083 in the White House archives to hide it. One place these Presidential Documents can be consistently found is in the Federal Register which is maintained by the National Archives and Records Administration (www.nara.gov).

On May 14, 1998, President Clinton signed an Executive Order that will seriously curtail our freedoms. It is one more onslaught on our Constitution and its inherent Bill of Rights.
I demand that you stop that order from becoming law.
Following is a quote from Heads Up #87:
- The same goes for President Clinton's latest abomination against state sovereignty and the rights of the American people. This is his Executive Order that makes state and local governments subservient to federal regulators. He did this without his usual fanfare in the rose garden, surrounding himself with a crowd of multiracial children, all wondering why they were there. No, he signed this one quietly while hiding away in England. No cameras, no press releases. We had to find it out by tapping into the White House web site. This particular Executive Order, in one stroke of the Presidential pen, eliminates the freedoms our forefathers guaranteed us and we have been fighting to preserve ever since. It was signed on the 14th of May and will become law thirty days after the signing. Unless it is stopped by Congress, that is.
- And here again, if our Speaker of the House doesn't get up and act like the leader of the majority party by denouncing this assault on state sovereignty before it becomes law on June 14th, we will see a completely unfettered onslaught of federal regulatory agencies treading upon our liberties. But the blame cannot end with Newt Gingrich alone, because one strong voice by any member of Congress would light a flame that would kill this Presidential order.
