GOVERNMENT RETRIBUTION
Remember the BATF "Good O Boys Roundup" scandal? The event may have
been sponsored by the BATF, but members of many police departments attended.
A lot of cops got in trouble after that story broke, too.
Well, now it's get'n even time for the boys with badges and guns!
It was the Gadsen Minutemen -- a militia group more famous for
shooting with their cameras than their guns -- who originally broke the
story. They actually attended a Good O Boys function and took pictures.
And, a couple of them were interviewed on many, many news programs.
So . . . a year or so ago, the police went after the group's
communications officer, Mike Kemp. According to Mike, they mounted a full-
scale military attack one night on his house -- complete with a chopper
parked thirty feet above his backyard.
Picture the press in front of the house, a noisy chopper hovering
behind the house, and lots of men with guns surrounding the property. Mike
feels that their true intent was to look for an excuse to shoot him, and he
may be right. However, Mike was smart enough to walk out to greet them
unarmed.
And as it turns out, according to Mike, they forgot something
important. They did not have a search warrant. Whoops!
That didn't matter, though. The officers searched the house and
ripped off a few things anyway. The only really interesting things they
found were two little hemp plants growing on the back porch.
Nothing more was said about this for about a year. Suddenly, they
called a court hearing. The trial starts next month.
This should be a very interesting trial to watch. Due to the Supreme
Court's _Wilson_ opinion, nearly everything the police did in this case was
illegal. Excessive force, with no search warrant, sounds a lot like
criminal assault, terroristic threatening and breaking and entering of an
occupied dwelling.
If memory serves correctly, those charges should be made right after
the abuse of power charges are started. Or, maybe we should just forget the
whole thing and call this a police state....
Whatever your opinion, inform your Members of Congress. Either we
must defend our Constitution by demanding that all government officials obey
it, or we should give it up. It is time this "in between" stuff came to a
screeching halt.
THE NEW CENSORSHIP
Slick Willie just reported that he wants to appropriate $100,000,000
of our tax dollars to create a better Internet for universities. Sure!
What he did not say publicly was that he also wants to update the
anti-terrorist bill next year and add the Internet as being necessary to
"national security."
Wouldn't that be a hoot! Then the spook agencies and the military
can monitor everything we do (if they don't already). They're coming to take
it away, folks.
The powers that be do not like us civilian types trading information
back and forth. They're loosing control of what we learn. THEY, not us,
must control the information available to us.
Yup! They're coming to take it away. Just watch 'em.
STUPID LAW OF THE YEAR
Some people still do not believe that the federal government is
sincerely attempting to regulate everything in our lives from womb to tomb.
So, here comes another one:
In H.R. 3096 it says, "In a professional sports league game played in
the United States, the head referee . . . shall . . . in the event of
conflicting calls, review instant replay to determine the correct call."
Don't you just love it! Washington can't stay out of anything.
Whatever happened to the Ninth and Tenth Amendments?
AUTHORIZED NEWS
About two years ago, the national media elite started going after the
Citizen's Militia community. They trashed the militia community with every
media trick they could think of, and by using any idiot they could find
willing to speak. I watched in disbelief, but said little because I was not
militia.
Then the national press started on the American Patriot community.
I knew that much of the information published was incorrect; that for the
most part, our Patriots were America loving people just like me. But I did
not belong to any of the patriot groups, so I did not say much.
Now the leftist-liberal national media elite are spouting their
venomous lies and disinformation about Republicans I personally know to be
honorable people. . . .
Pay close attention to what you hear on the news, folks. Most of it
is not true. Propaganda, it's called in other countries. Anyone from one of
the above mentioned groups knows exactly how true this is!
Socialists abound in the media. They don't even make an attempt at
acting like they support our Constitution anymore. Our problem is, how to we
fix it? Probably the only way is to write to both the station and the
program's sponsors. Just flat out tell them that you will not purchase their
product while they sponsor garbage. Try it. Just a few letters can do
wonders.
ASKING WHY
Below is part of a conversation I had with an airline pilot (and
newsletter reader) this morning. Herein, for reasons that will soon become
obvious, we will call him "Gus."
Gus has been a pilot all of his adult life, and regularly flys into
many of the country's major airports. In his career, Gus had driven some of
the world's largest aircraft.
He agreed to answer questions without first knowing what the subject
would be.
Q. When was the last time you have seen a terrorist?
A. Terrorist? I have never seen a terrorist.
Q. When was the last time any person you know saw a terrorist?
A. Never, that I have heard of.
Q. Do you have any terrorists in your city?
A. No.
Q. Do you have any terrorists in your state?
A. None I have ever heard about.
Q. So, why do you think Clinton wants all of those new anti-terrorist
laws?
A. I have no idea. Except, maybe, for better control of the citizens.
There are over four-million successful commercial airline flights in
the United States every year. The key word there is "successful." Then one
aircraft explodes -- for unknown reasons -- and the Washington law factory
comes out with a flurry of very oppressive anti-terrorist laws. What's
wrong with this picture, folks?
Some major changes are needed in Washington. Please do your civic
duty on Tuesday, November 5.
