EXPECTED RESULTS
Slick Willie wins again. Did anyone expect anything less? Sure, a
lot of us hoped that would not be the result Tuesday, but what could we do
about it?
Lets look at the reasons behind the Clinton win. First came $35-
million in union adds vilifying any attempt at fiscal responsibility. Unions
like to support big government. Unions always support central government's
control of everything. That's the way unions get laws passed favorable to
unions.
Then too, there's the fact that most union workers now work for
government. So, bigger government means more union workers. More union
workers, of course, means more power for the union bosses. Think about it.
It's a self perpetuating circle.
Top that off with the $300,000,000 in total labor contributions given
to Democrats in this last election cycle, and you might find a little
opportunity for some new political mischief. We'll see just exactly what
was bought and paid for next year, when the new bills are released in
Congress.
But, the unions were not at it alone. They had plenty of help from
the establishment press. For instance, recent reports show that nearly 90%
of the establishment press are Democrats -- read liberals, folks. Like the
union bosses, these are staunch proponents of a big, powerful central
government.
The far left in Washington put out their political play book chucked
full of obfuscation, innuendo and lies about the results of decreasing the
size of the federal government. The big government loving unions spent
millions of dollars advertising the far left's positions. And day after day,
the liberal press reported it as fact.
How were the voters to know the truth? How can we change this
situation? Start with those e-mail addresses published herein last week. There
will be more on this later.
ABANDONING THE SINKING SHIP
Six cabinet members already say they will leave the administration.
No doubt. The special prosecutors are probably going to close down this
administration, and these cabinet members know that.
Janet Reno, however, is suddenly making noises like she would like to
stay. No telling what that is all about. Maybe it's because she enjoyed
commanding a small army once (at Waco), and wants a few more chances.
You see, President Clinton wasted no time in announcing that he plans
to "cut [his] political detractors out of American politics." Well folks,
there goes our freedom of political speech!
Let's see, there was only a 48% voter turn-out last Tuesday. And
only 48% of the votes cast were for him. That means that only 24% of the
American electorate wanted him as president. Not quite a mandate for
anything, one would think.
Never mind. Clinton said that anyone attacking his administration is
a "cancer" on American politics. Strong stuff! That comment would be funny,
if he didn't have so many men with guns, and unlimited funds, to back it up.
Question: Are those few hundred-thousand Americans included in
Hillary's White House database really their enemies list as some have feared?
MILITIA NEWS
Below is a short but very important message. As anyone able to read
knows, Citizen's Militias have received some very bad press these past few
years. As a movement, they've been blamed for nearly everything the extreme
left can think of from anarchy to xenophobia. Yet, when we look at the
people making up our American militia movement, one very important fact
becomes immediately evident: They are us -- our friends and neighbors; they
are American citizens.
Not admitted by the liberal press is the fact that the movement is
made up of Americans from all walks of life. And these are Americans doing
uniquely American things. For instance, one such American activity today's
militias seem to profess is the defense of our United States Constitution.
Now, let's face it. Anyone actually reading our Constitution, and
its supporting documents, might notice a few hundred disparities between the
original intent of the Founding Fathers and today's federal government. The
people calling themselves Militia have a point. Our Constitution definitely
needs defending.
That is a fact, not a question. Many Members of Congress even agree
that numerous activities of the federal government are running far afield of
any authority given by the Constitution. Our question, then, is exactly who
shall be charged with defending those ideals so well expressed by our
Country's Founding Fathers.
The American Militia movement feels that is the duty of us -- the
people. And . . . well folks . . . they've got a good point there! The
Constitution is the people's instruction to government as to how our
government is to be operated. What do the people do, then, when government
no longer follows most of these instructions?
Of Course, proponents of big government socialism fight any proposed
change back towards the original intent of the Founding Fathers. Socialists
need a strong central government if there is to be womb to tomb federal
control of everything in our lives. Understandably, the militia movement
finds fault with that -- as we all should. And, what we see in the press is
actually little more than a political argument in progress. The problem is
that the socialist leaning among us have the benefit of the federal police to
enforce their ideals.
Certainly, not every person claiming to be in the militia movement is
a completely honorable person. But neither is every judge, politician,
police officer teacher, or minister. Yet, the whole of the American militia
movement is always depicted as a threat in the press. This may be unfair,
but it is the way of politics in these United States. We must understand
that.
There may be some problems with a few people who are also militia
members. But records show that the per capita problem is no greater than the
problems found in any other identifiable population -- and much less than in
some. The problems are just publicized differently. They are also publicized
much more deliberately.
Now comes the beginnings of a long awaited fix. Some very important
proposals have sprung from within the militia movement which may ultimately
benefit all Americans equally. These proposals include a much needed Code
of Conduct and a central leadership organization. Below is the first
official message provided to this newsletter.
-----------------------
The Militia Movement is at a crossroads in its short history and its
very survival depends upon whether we unite together, or allow ourselves to
be fragmented by a lack of standards and coordination of effort.
Today, we would like to announce that members of various militia
groups across the nation have agreed to work together towards the goal of
building a National Leadership Council, and also of establishing a Code of
Conduct applicable to all militia members subscribing to the Council.
While this project is currently in its infancy, many within the
movement have already voiced a positive desire to become an active part of a
national militia movement.
Additional information will be posted in this publication as
warranted..

End of public message received by "Heads Up."
GRIDLOCK IS GOOD
We may be getting a break in the next Congressional session. Both
the House and the Senate may be so busy with investigations into
administrative branch wrongdoing they will not have time to work on as many
new bills.
The CIA's cocaine scandal will require a full hearing in both Houses,
as will the administration's illegal campaign contribution shakedown. The
matter of the FBI files is not yet settled, nor is the expenditure for
Hillary's "Big Brother" White House computer.
But these are all little things when compared to the soon to be
released indictments of those in the White House. Sure, pardons are planned.
But even blanket pardons will not help much if the public gets to see the
indictments. And, if Bill Clinton is also indicted, we'll have a real
Constitutional crisis looming.
This will be very interesting, in that we may get to watch a really
unique Constitutional activity in progress: Impeachment.
That will slow down the Congressional law factory for a while. And,
what the heck, we have way too many laws anyway.
Yup, gridlock is good. Let's encourage more of it.
ANOTHER SLUSH FUND
Retired Teamsters Union director of communications, F.C. "Duke"
Zeller, reports that the Teamsters Union ran a multi-million dollar slush
fund for Clinton during the 1992 presidential campaign. So? What else is
new.
In his new book, "Devils Pact: Inside the World of the Teamsters
Union," Zeller says that the cash was used illegally for bus tours, campaign
literature and other expenses. He also reported that other funds were
routed to campaign officials in New York City and Chicago. Oh, and they
also paid a few hundred political operatives. . . .
Believe it or not, some present union officials are actually trying
to debunk this. What a laugh! Hello, Ken Starr: Here's another one!
Harold Ickes, White House deputy chief of staff was deeply involved
in this one. Zeller reports that Ickes "repeatedly appealed" to Teamsters
officials for more money throughout the campaign. Ickes, by the way, was a
New York labor lawyer at the time. See the fit? He also managed the 1992
Democratic National Convention. That's an even better fit.
It seems that unions no longer bring candidates brown paper bags full
of money, but they do still provide quite a lot of illegal funding.
