HATE SPEECH FROM THE GORE CAMP

Just as they were showing Al Gore telling lies on television, someone on local radio was saying he had a lot in common with Marx. The talk show host meant Karl Marx, evidently, but I kept thinking Marx Brothers. Because, let's face it, what other presidential candidate would hire such a strange cast of characters to run his campaign.

First came Tony Coelho, a guy so crooked he was even thrown out of a Democratic controlled Congress for graft, corruption and making cash payoffs for votes right on the floor of the House. When Bill Clinton wanted expert advice on how to get away with laundering illegal campaign funds, he called Coelho to set it up and the results are now history.

Or, how about a campaign committee that would hire a psycho-babble chick for $15,000 a month to make Gore appear the alpha male. She made him look and sound stupid two different ways. Gore is trying hard to look and act like Ronald Reagan but comes off looking a lot more like Howdy Doody on steroids. And that's not just a joke, either. These last couple months, Gore's face appears as if he started taking steroids.

As if all this weren't funny enough, the Gore campaign went on to show us the political etiquette of the far left by hiring Donna Brazile, a mouthy Black lesbian activist, as his campaign manager.

Some will remember Donna Brazile as a leftover problem from the 1988 Dukakis campaign. Back then, she publicly implied that Dubya's father was an adulterer: "The American people have a right to know whether or not Barbara Bush will share a bed with her husband." Even those on the left knew that Brazile had a nasty mouth and was full of bogus baloney, so Dukakis fired her.

But, Gore doesn't know any better. And, right from the start, Brazile started with the hate speech again. Early on -- possibly before being introduced to her candidate(?) -- Brazile brazenly announced that she "will not let the white boys win in this election."

Earlier this year, Brazile announced that "the four pillars of the Democratic Party are African-Americans, labor, women, and what I call other ethnic minorities." That comment immediately got her spanked by the Democratic Party headquarters. The DNC leadership felt that view risked alienating moderates and independents. Apparently it did not bother the DNC leadership (or the Gore campaign) that the statement is also a popular rallying cry among the communist party membership.

"My only power is my mouth, therefore I have been known to upset people," Brazile told reporter Cindy Adams of the New York Post. "I'm a woman, 40 years old, whose birth certificate says 'Negro.' With all that laying on top of me, nothing scares me. My whole life's been a victory. This will be the first campaign an African- American woman ran to victory."

In Los Angeles, during the Democratic National Convention, Donna Brazile called George W. Bush a "White Cracker," then declared herself "like the eighth wonder of the world." No explanation as to who's world she was referring to, though.

In an interview with the Washington Post, she added: "The emerging constituencies are environmentalists, gays and lesbians, and those with physical disabilities." She forgot minorities.

Recently, Brazile opined: "The Republicans bring out Colin Powell and J.C. Watts because they have no program, no policy. ... They have no love and no joy. They'd rather take pictures with black children than feed them."

Like always, no controlling legal authority Al Gore stood by his campaign manager's stupid remarks, even paraphrasing them somewhat: "Having General Powell and Congressman Watts in the Republican Party is, in fact, no substitute for an agenda that supports all of our people, including African-Americans. That is what Donna was trying to say."

No it wasn't, Al. She was just being intentionally offensive, as usual. Like many in the Democratic Party, Donna Brazile has a nasty mouth and a very poor attitude. However, she is probably a perfect example of the type of people Gore would surround himself with, if he won the White House. She jerks Gore's socialist programs even farther to the left than Gore wants, then adds in a strong element of meanness through class warfare.

Apparently some American voters accept a certain amount of this type of hateful behavior in the Democratic Party. But, this is the first time we can remember seeing it come out so frequently, and so blatantly, in a presidential campaign.

If Gore wants to appear the "alpha male," he should have what it takes to fire the hateful Donna Brazile. She has had a public forum quite long enough. If Gore does not have what it takes to fire her, the whole Gore campaign should be summarily dismissed as totally amoral and unacceptable.

WASTE, FRAUD, ABUSE AND THEFT

In the federal scheme of things, the Department of Education is just as corrupt as the Department of Defense, the Justice Department, Housing and Urban Development, and the Environmental Protection Agency. All reek with cover-ups, misspent funds and major financial irregularities. All hide their misdeeds from investigators, Congressional oversight committees and the American people.

However, many government departments and agencies can be very good places to work. That's because most are little more than a revolving door between government and non-government organizations living off large contracts and grants from government. The organizations rotate their people through government agencies and, while there, the people pass out money to keep those in the organizations comfortable.

Other times, these people get really greedy and take a little of the money for themselves, too.

For instance, USDA lost track of five-billion bucks somewhere. To cover up for some of that, they valued things like one automobile at $97-million and a microscope at $11-million. But, there's no telling how much of that five-billion bucks was stolen by bureaucrats. Like the IRS and DoD, USDA keeps very poor records and usually loses money in multimillion dollar increments.

In the Department of Education, some of the same problems exist, but someone actually got caught with their fingers in the till. According to Rep. Dick Armey (R-TX), the House Majority Leader, someone "diverted" taxpayer money to buy two expensive cars and a home:

"$1.9 million of education funds meant for children who live on Indian reservations and military bases was stolen from the U.S. Department of Education and diverted to two bank accounts. Withdrawals made in the form of cashiers checks were used to purchase a $49,900 Cadillac Escalade, a $50,000 Lincoln, and a $135,000 house in Maryland. The rest of the money was then moved into other bank accounts."

It gets better, though. The Clinton-Gore Administration reeks with this type of corruption.

"Impact Aid is a $906 million Department of Education program designed to help local communities educate school children living on federal lands, such as Indian reservations or military facilities, which don't contribute to the local property tax base. Last April, two South Dakota school districts did not receive their Impact Aid funds. Because it is not unusual for Impact Aid payments to be late, the school districts did not immediately notify the Department of Education. Sometimes school districts must take out loans and pay interest while waiting for the Department of Education to issue the grants. 'We didn't have to empty the pop machines to make payroll, but it came close,' said Chris Anderson, superintendent of the Bennett County school system in Wager, South Dakota. The school system waited a month for the funds. In a civil action filed in July, the Justice Department alleged that thieves stole the $1.9 million intended for the two school districts in South Dakota. They have not yet specified if criminal charges will be brought."

So, let's see here. They bought themselves a Cadillac Escalade, a Lincoln, a $135,000 house in Maryland and "other" bank accounts for spending money -- for a total of $1.9-million. Yet, according to the Justice Department: "They have not yet specified if criminal charges will be brought." No arrests!

As we indicated above, the federal government is a rather good place to work. Employees get a lot of time off, a very large benefit package, immunity from many laws and, apparently, the opportunity to rip-off taxpayer money in hundred-thousand-dollar increments without being arrested.

Rep. Armey doesn't approve, of course. Even so, not much is being done about all the waste, fraud and abuse in government. This stuff has been going on for over a decade. According to Armey:

"The Department of Education has been on the General Accounting Office 'high risk' list, which is a list of agencies most vulnerable to waste, fraud and abuse. Also, the U.S. House of Representatives recently passed legislation requiring an independent audit of this troubled Department. At a recent hearing, Rep. Pete Hoekstra, chairman of the Education's Subcommittee on Oversight, said, 'I don't know what, if anything, the White House is planning to do in response. But I know that this Subcommittee is determined not to let an agency off the hook that is the steward for a $40 billion budget of federal education dollars and the administrator of federal student loan programs in which there is currently about $175 billion in outstanding debt to be monitored and collected.'"

And so it goes in that mismanaged cesspool we call a federal government. What money they don't misappropriate somehow, they pass out to outside socialist organizations who work to subvert our American way of life. Or, like the story above, they just steal the money for themselves.

Each year, about $800 per taxpayer becomes money "missing" in the morass called the federal bureaucracy. No one really cares because so many hands are busy grabbing to get some.

PRESIDENT APPARENT: DUBYA

One thing obvious from last Wednesday's campaign debate between George W. Bush and Albert Gore, Jr. is that Albert Gore, Jr. evidently never learned to play chess and George W. Bush did. Bush easily maneuvered into good position early on and scored a series of checks against an obviously unsuspecting opponent. There wasn't time for the decisive checkmate, of course. But Dubya easily knocked Al Gore, Jr. off of his cadence and forced him to waste moves protecting himself.

Early respondents to polls felt the same, too. All early polls had Bush ahead by a decisive margin. The only people who did not agree were the Democratic Party's paid sycophants in the media -- the talking head, overly made up, hair sprayed set. On every television channel we turned to, liberals outnumbered conservatives at least three to one and all spent their time trying to pump up Gore as best as they as could, without looking like complete idiots and liars. Fly-specking the pepper, we used to call it. That is, they each purposely tried to find some point about Dubya to nit-pick and neglected the fact that Bush did quite well overall.

And how about Bush on foreign policy, eh? Now, there were some real answers we could live with! Albert Gore, Jr. was stunned with Dubya's knowledge of foreign policy and a couple times actually started looking like that proverbial deer caught in the headlights.

Because Dubya did so well with foreign policy, the media hype became: "Most people don't care much about that, anyway, so it really does not count for much." That's certainly not true, of course. Every person in the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marines has parents and family back home. Those people all care one hell of a lot about foreign policy.

Also, some of us would actually like to see a President who would not use the military to kill people in a foreign land simply because he is having a bad press week and wants to control the news cycles for a while. There are still a few million of us out here in fly-over country who remember when that type of president would be labeled a murder.

Bill Clinton killed innocent foreign people simply to get his scandals out of the headlines. We have absolutely no reason to believe that Albert Gore, Jr. would not take a cue from his friend and mentor and do exactly the same thing. And, Albert Gore, Jr. is far from free and clear of corruption investigations, yet. Next year could be very eventful, legally, for him.

We feel that the media knew Dubya would do well in the debate. That was why they spent the week between the first and second debate repeating the White House war room line over and over again: George W. Bush is a bumbler.

Well, Dubya is not a bumbler. He just does not work as well as Gore within the structure of a debate, especially when that debate is primarily on liberal issues and moderated by a liberal.

Gore, on the other hand, is little more than a typical Washington insider with a know-it-all, elitist attitude.

The problem for Gore is that the debates make him look like what he really is: A person of only ordinary intelligence with an ego that far exceeds his mental ability. Also, we cannot help but think that Albert Gore, Jr. may be much better suited to a Politburo form of government. His plans for government are just not a very good fit in a Constitutionally limited Republic style government.

That is, if elected President, Albert Gore, Jr.'s first major official lie would be when he took the oath of office. Because, in truth, what he would be swearing to do would not resemble anything he plans to do while in office.

The other problem with the debates is the moderator, PBS's "Newshour" news reader Jim Lehrer. Because, let's face it, Jim Lehrer's job is to stealthily keep the liberal BS in PBS. Fairness in the debates requires there also be at least one conservative moderator.

Also, isn't it about time we saw a member of the distaff set acting as debate moderator? And, while we are being fair about this, she should also be someone with good conservative credentials. One Republican woman fits the bill perfectly. She is a member of the "hair spray" set, in that she is accustomed to speaking before a crowd and/or before cameras. And, she would, herself, encourage quite a number of voters around the country to tune in. Her name is Mary Cathleen Derek, professionally known as Bo Derek.

Regardless, the President apparent is George W. Bush. Let's all work these next couple weeks to insure that becomes fact. As I write this piece, the Clinton cabal become "short-timers" -- there are less than 100 days before they must leave office. Our job, then, is to clean house as much as possible and that will require everyone's help in various political campaigns.

DISRUPTIONS EVERYWHERE

Watching the news this past week is almost like reading the first three chapters of a Tom Clancy novel.

There is organized unrest between the Palestinians and Israelis. Our biased media likes to favor the Israelis, but there is a great deal of blame to be placed on both sides. And, every time the Israeli military sends heavily armed war choppers out to stage rocket attacks against civilians, Bill Clinton sees his legacy go up in smoke. Apparently, in a fit of delusions of grandeur, the White House spent a lot of money (whose money?) to lobby for a Nobel Peace Prize for Clinton. Well, poof goes the prize, Slick. Instead of a Nobel, we think Bill Clinton should get the David P. Schippers award for political corruption: prosecution.

Then, under the heading of "what the hell?", a little motorboat was said to blow up, and nearly sink, the destroyer USS Cole. Now, just a cotton pickin' minute here . . . a little boat was carrying enough high-explosives to rip a 20 by 40 foot hole through the half inch thick steel hull of a destroyer? Obviously, there is a hole there. But, knowing a little of how explosives work, this story does not compute very well.

Not making headlines was a story from Ecuador. According to AP: "An armed group seized a helicopter with 10 foreigners aboard from an oil field in the Amazon jungle Thursday, Ecuador's vice president said. Those kidnapped were six Americans, two Frenchmen, a Chilean and an Argentine, military officials said." There could be something there, but what? We don't know yet.

President Saddam Hussein has his army moving in western Iraq. Reports indicate that is the Hammurabi Division of about 15,000 Special Republican Guard troops.

Some are saying Saddam is just playing and might want to cause his own a "October surprise" to help heighten Middle East tensions just before the election here. Of course, he would also like to drive up our oil prices more, too.

Then, the good news: Hillary got her just comeuppance while attending a pro-Israel rally in New York City. As she took to the stage, people began booing, screaming "hypocrite," and blowing whistles so she would not be heard. One observer reported that Hillary looked as if she was about to burst out in tears at any time. Hillary is learning two important things lately: Most people simply do not like her and do not want her around. And, no matter how large and brash one's contingent of armed guards, they cannot make the people like you.

Hillary is just another pompous ass with a very poor attitude. She is not qualified to hold any position of honor anywhere. We sincerely hope the voters of New York will help the rest of the country by totally and completely trouncing her in November.

If the rally in New York is any indication, Hillary will be banished back to Arkansas where she belongs. Because, the best news is that Rep. Rick Lazio was welcomed and cheered when he addressed the rally.

As reported earlier, we expected some type of "October surprise." However, none of the above quite fits that bill yet. There may still be more coming.

One major problem will be from the far left's paid media hacks. The liberal media now knows that the American people are getting a little testy and are ready to mount a limited attack on socialists in November. Like most obnoxious politicians, the Gore campaign is in definite trouble. Therefore, the media will be doing all they can to promote their candidates. Look for them to get very mean and obnoxious in their reports on George W. Bush these coming three weeks.

There are quite a number of disruptions on this end, too. In fact, things may get so busy between now and the election that it may not always be possible to get the newsletter published. I will try to keep writing, but there may not be time to get it done properly. Instead, I will be occupied with campaign related activities.

On the other hand, I hope everyone else will be, too. If we all get busy helping someone good get elected (on any level), few people will have much time to be reading this newsletter, anyway.

Because, as an old senator I knew used to say: "Every ignorant person gets to vote in this country. It's up to you to get the good people out to vote." Or, I might add, we can inform some of the ignorant.

Trying to do that in the foreground, while attempting to fight off some of the strong media bias from the background, is what I will be doing these next couple weeks. I hope millions of others are, too.
