TIME TO AGGRAVATE LIBERALS

It's time folks. This is our time to send all the liberals searching for the Prozac. It's time we extract our pound of retribution from each of their socialist hides. And the best way to do that is to radically change the government.

Unfortunately, we rejected some of the most Constitutionally oriented candidates in the primary process. No matter, though. We can still work with who we have running.

The Republicans are, after all, an electable bunch. Oh sure, I can nit-pick and find problems with most of them. Nevertheless, collectively, the Republicans are fielding a pretty good group -- for the moment. I mean, let's face it, when we look at the big picture, we all want nearly the same thing: the liberals gone. Well, the only other ones electable are the Republicans. So, that's what needs to be done next month.

After all, we WANT to see wholesale retirement of liberals from Congress. And the old, most dangerous of these socialist Cretans will drop out when they see they are never again to be in power. We WANT to see all those socialist talking heads crying into their microphones when they have to announce a clean sweep of Republicans across the country. We WANT to see a major change in the Washington press corps, which will be necessary because few powerful Republicans will be hobnobbing with the very scribblers who will be trying to take them down. And we most definitely WANT a unified Republican Party running everything in the federal government for at least the next two years so they can clean house of all the entrenched socialist scumbags running that huge, over-reaching leviathan called a regulatory bureaucracy.

Mostly though, we WANT one stop shopping to air our many diverse complaints of local federal bureaucratic abuses. We WANT to know who is in charge because we also WANT to know who is to blame!

And blame we shall. A unified front in government will soon realize that there is a very strong unified front developing out here in the real world and we shall be demanding significant changes -- often with a loud unified voice.

Ah yes, there can be great safety in having a unified party in government because then we all will know exactly who to confront for change. They will have no excuse anymore.

Sure, to pump up the Republican numbers in Congress we will have to elect a few of those "Republican In Name Only" (RINO) stooges. But, if we start early next year, we can defeat them in the next primary election and elect real Republicans who will support our liberty. The same applies to those overly authoritarian Republicans who are always so willing to "plug loopholes" in the law and give police nearly unlimited power. They can all be beaten and replaced.

First, though, we must send as many Republicans to Washington as we can. Second, we must instruct them that we want our freedom back and we want all socialists driven out of the federal bureaucracy -- no exceptions.

We can do that. And, if the elected ones want to stay in office, they will obey our wishes. Else, they fall by the wayside in the next primary election. But before we can instruct them, we must vote them into office.

Our job, then, is to aggravate liberals in all sectors of society. It is time the media stop lying to us with their biased reporting. It is time all those far-left non-governmental organizations get de-funded, or at least stop receiving all those fat government grants used to promote their many unconstitutional programs. It is time the federal government gets out of education, the unions get out of government and the whole of the federal government gets paired down to less than six departments and ten agencies.

Our job is to instruct those we send to Washington, then insure they do our bidding. Their job is to lead the federal government back towards a Constitutional form of government. And, any member of government thinking we have a "living Constitution" (arbitrary meaning) should also have an arbitrary tenure that is immediately terminated.

So I say, vote straight Republican. They will be much easier than Democrats to control over these next two years and we may be able to institute a bit of Constitutional esprit de corps in enough of them to influence the others. Otherwise, we are sure to get nothing else than more socialism.

(Please see the next article for more information.)

FINDING A PLAN FOR FREEDOM

Sometimes readers like to say that we write more about how things were and ought to still be than how to get them back there. Well, there are good reasons for that:

Most people under forty have no memory of the relative freedom we had from federal government interference in the 1940s and 1950s. We didn't have an actual Constitutional form of government even back then, of course. The Roosevelt administration had installed hundreds of unconstitutional central government controls (socialism) back in the 1930s and no one in the federal government wanted to give up those powers. But, life was still a lot freer than it is now.

The fact is, we have no institutional memory about freedom in this country. And, that is exactly how the far-left likes it. They belittle the Founding Fathers with impunity, rewrite the American history that is taught our children and preach even more divisive social programs in the media. Today, many Americans who know better find fighting that liberal government-media propaganda system a losing battle and have basically just given up arguing.

Not all of us gave up, though. Some of us are fighting back. Through the Internet, we are learning that there are many thousands of people out there with parallel opinions and a desire for that liberty promised us by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution and its first ten Amendments.

I do not yet have permission to write about a couple of the startup groups. But, suffice to say, they are operating in the proper manner and when they go public a lot of us will be interested in helping. No matter, though, there are a couple popular groups already very public:

One very honorable (except for a couple silly disrupters) group is active right here on the Internet. Free Republic(1) has become a very important cyberspace meeting place for discussing the news of the day. There are members in every State and these members are forming into local, politically active groups. And, like this publication, Free Republic takes a Constitutional point of view. Therefore, it is not uncommon for both politicians and their liberal sycophants in the media to have their actions publicly taken to task there. Actually, it would be more correct to write that it is "very" common that the actions of liberals are often publicly chastised there. That's exactly what makes that web site so interesting: everyone gets to voice an opinion.

But it's more than just talk at Free Republic. Many of these people are politically active in their respective areas. They get involved in supporting good candidates for government. And, this year, the group at Free Republic will be responsible for helping many good candidates win their respective elections.

An important club that is quietly but quickly growing is the RLC, or Republican Liberty Caucus.(2) As might be guessed by their name, the RLC's major interest is Liberty and there are chapters in many States. The group's intent is to identify and support Liberty minded candidates for positions in all areas of government.

The Republican Liberty Caucus is not in competition with the Republican Party in any way. In fact, RLC members are Republicans -- albeit, with a libertarian bent. The RLC supports liberty minded candidates in the primaries, but members still act as Republicans and support the candidates winning the primary election.

And therein lies the surprise to the "old line" liberal and overly authoritarian Republicans in the next election cycle: Many chapters of the RLC are gearing up to field some good Republicans (liberty minded people who will support the Constitution) in the next primary election cycle. And, the chosen candidates will have a ready-made campaign committee itching to go.

The key to toppling an incumbent in the primary is to start early and keep your challenger in the public eye for a variety of reasons. Don't announce the challenger as being a candidate until the last minute. That's a difficult trick, of course, because campaign financing is necessary, too. But, tricks are necessary because many of these old fools in government will not leave quietly and they should not be alerted that they will have primary competition until the last minute. There are ways to do that legally.

And so it goes. Many of us will vote straight Republican in November for two very good reasons: We want to know who to confront for change and it's often easier to knock Republicans out of office with a sneak attack in a primary election if they don't behave.

Sure, we'll have to take on many Democrats, too. But, that's more difficult because they have huge funding sources through all the unions. Besides, most Democrats are already so corrupt we cannot embarrass them for supporting bad bills. It's much easier to apply grass- roots political pressure on Republicans.

The Republican Liberty Caucus and Free Republic are two politically active groups most of us would enjoy joining. Others will be identified as soon as they say they are ready. But, the point is, there are workable plans afoot to take back our freedom. In fact, many members of these groups will be loudly celebrating victory November Seventh.

Perhaps you could celebrate with them, as an active member, two years from now? After all, it's for the children, don'tcha know.

THE REGULATION SCAM

The House estimated that it costs the American people an extra $700 billion in hidden costs every year just to comply with federal rules and regulations.

There are over 11,585 pages of IRS regulations, 11,270 pages of regulations for Agriculture, 11,808 pages for the EPA, and 5,368 for Labor, to name just a few affecting our personal activities. A quick look in a public library showed 213 fat books containing over 130,000 pages of Federal regulations directly affecting American citizens.

That's 130,000 pages of regulations alone, folks, not laws passed by Congress. And, we're responsible for knowing and obeying every one of them. When you also factor in federal laws, this gets way, way out of hand.

For instance, according to the U.S. General Accounting Office, between April 1, 1996, and September 30, 1999, the federal government's regulatory bureaucracy issued 15,280 final rules. Out of those 15,280 rules, 222 were major rules which caused an economic impact (hidden tax) of more than $100 million on the American people. Some inflicted a hidden tax of many billions of dollars. Not one was approved by Congress.

Federal regulations already cost the average American family $6,000 a year in hidden taxes. To get everything done that Gore wants with the Kyoto agreement, those hidden costs will rise to $10,000 a year. Will your paycheck increase accordingly? Not likely.

Many rules and regulations are proposed as a way of helping a major business. That is, an established business will propose rules and regulations they can easily conform to but which would be very difficult for both existing competitors and potential start-up competitors to obey.

Getting these regulations passed is easier for a large business than one would think. First, the devious industry captain funnels some money over to one or more of the various liberal, non-government organizations to get them behind the desired regulation. With the professional protesters on the far left paid off, the corporation leader then greases a few grubby bureaucratic palms in Washington. Most regulatory agencies, of course, are but revolving doors between government and the various far-left protest groups, so this part is easy. Everyone gets money and/or various favors, so they are all happy.

However, members of Congress and their staffs might take offense when a regulatory agency is making rules and regulations (law) without the permission of actual lawmakers. And, no matter what song and dance these lawmakers play publicly, they have oversight over the regulatory agencies and can cancel a rule or regulation if they so wish. So, lots of appropriate people on Capitol Hill need close attention, too.

But, one may not walk into a Congressional office and offer to pay for a law, rule or regulation, lest one be accused of bribery. It is necessary to use a registered middleman (an authorized bribe payer) to do that legally.

That's when it becomes time for the corporation to hire lobbyists.

Finding a lobbyist is no problem in Washington, though. As House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-TX) reports, at least $8.4 billion is spent each year in Washington just to lobby the federal government. In fact, lobbying has become Washington, D.C.'s largest private sector employer. A whopping 67,062 people work in the lobbying industry. And, lobbying by multinational corporations and foreign governments is a major segment of that lobbying industry.

So, the paid non-governmental organizations apply "grass roots" pressure in favor of the new rule or regulation. The regulatory agency gets favors, and often grant money it can then funnel back to its favorite non- governmental organization. Members of Congress and their staffs receive campaign funds, trips, dinners, and a wide variety of favors to look the other way and/or shut up. And, the company gets its new rule or regulation passed and government helps it make more money.

Everyone wins from these deals. That's why they are so popular.

Well, everyone wins except the American people that is. We get the bill -- and harassed by more regulators.

Anyone thinking this scenario sounds a little farfetched should look up the reasons why Freon was banned in the United States. It does not take long to discover that Freon was banned the very same year the patent for Freon expired. And, the only product authorized thereafter was that corporation's new replacement product. But, that's just one of thousands of products and procedures mandated by federal rules and regulations.

Or, to see how the pay-offs work on Capitol Hill, check out the FEC records of the lobbying industry's campaign contributions to first term Rep. Ken Lucas (D-KY). Then, look at all the new regulations that should be strictly scrutinized by the committees Lucas is on.

Where there is unregulated money, there is corruption. And there is over $8.4 billion spent each year in Washington to lobby the federal government.

THEIR PLAN FOR CHANGE WORKED

What an interesting development this is! Forty-one years after publication, an article titled "Current Communist Goals," which is an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," written by Cleon Skousen in 1958, is beginning to receive national prominence.

W. Cleon Skousen, we should add, was an FBI agent, the police chief of Salt Lake City and a full professor at Brigham Young University. Skousen was also the head of the National Center for Constitutional Studies and the author of a number of other books and publications. Interestingly enough, the Skousen family is also directly related to Founding Father Benjamin Franklin.

The first time around, this text was generally greeted with snickers and yawns. Much of the text accurately identified things to come; it's just that few in the United States believed it back around 1960. But, Rep. A. S. Herlong, Jr. of Florida believed. And he read part of it into the Congressional Record in 1963, where future Americans would be able to find it.

And find it people have. Because of the good works of Forest Glen Durland, a semi-retired California teacher who realized the historical significance of the piece and posted it on his uhuh.com web site, the text has recently been extensively discussed in a wide variety of forums, from the Dr. Laura national radio program to the FreeRepublic.com web site.

Back in the 1960s, few Americans realized exactly how active the communist operation was in the United States. Now that some of the old KGB records are becoming public, we see that there were massive communist disinformation operations designed to divide the American people and stir the forces of social and political discontent. As we published previously, a handful of communist agitators were actually responsible for instigating many of the riots and anti-Vietnam demonstrations back then.

In fact, the 1958 text's item #19 actually mentions "use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack." And so they did. Quite successfully, too.

"Down with the establishment" is but one memorable chant that had its origin with communist trained agitators. The useful idiots of the drug culture were but one of their tools of disruption back then.

The "Current Communist Goals" text identifies many orchestrated mutations of American society. Most of these changes are so entrenched today that younger Americans actually think that is how our culture was intended to be. That is, some Americans do not fully understand the concept of freedom and liberty. They have been, what was called back then, "fully indoctrinated."

For instance, one communist goal currently under debate in presidential campaign news is item #4 in the "Current Communist Goals" text: "Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war."

Numbers 5, 6 and 7, respectively, call for: "Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites." "Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination." And, "grant recognition of Red China -- admission of Red China to the U.N."

Another item continually in the news is #9: "Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress."

Item #11 has received great discussion on the Internet, even before the text was again discovered:

"Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one- world government with its own independent armed forces."

Due to the Clinton administration, #14 catches the eye of most people: "Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office."

Not only did Russia have access to our patent office back then, the Clinton administration recently gave a computerized copy of all American patents to communist China.

Item #15 suggests that the communists "capture one or both of the political parties in the United States." They didn't get both parties. But, as we look at the ever expanding federal bureaucracy, we see that the communist model has captured nearly one and a half of the two major political parties.

The 16th says to "use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights." We see that in many court actions, from civil rights to school desegregation.

Item #17 is where it's at, though. This item was accomplished so well that today's students are completely confused about what the Founding Fathers intended as our rights of life, liberty and property: "Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks." And so they did.

By the time a careful reader gets down to #20 and #21 they may realize that a very workable plan was described: #20 states: "Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions." #21 rounds it off with: "Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures."

There's more, of course. There are forty-five articles in the plan. Most have been implemented, and that is exactly why there have been so many ominous changes in society these past thirty years. That is also why so many of our freedoms have evaporated.
