THE MOST ETHICAL ADMINISTRATION

Every time we think we're rid of him, more of his garbage floats to the surface. We can also see this may not be ending anytime soon.

Bill Clinton, of course, wants to be leader of the world. We reported over a year ago that the plan is to make her president of the United States and him Secretary General of the United Nations. Talk about room for political mischief, think about that pair holding those two offices simultaneously.

In the interim, the nation's leading grifter got himself fixed up in a fancy office suite in New York City. The rent is $650,000 a year. And, of course, the American taxpayers foot the bill. We think a store front office someplace outside of Little Rock suits him better, but we don't get a vote.

Clinton's "best economy" in recent memory turns out to be a full blown recession. Neither Clinton or Gore even realized it, either. But, that's small potatoes in the scheme of things. It appears that the Clinton cabal may be the topic of all news cycles for weeks on end again starting sometime next summer. What didn't seem to make the news last week was a report by the Office of Management and Budget -- the federal government's bean counters. Apparently Clinton cronies in a few federal departments and agencies did a little creative bookkeeping. It looks like the federal government is a trillion or more bucks short. A billion bucks equates to about eight dollars per taxpayer. A trillion is a thousand billion. Figure it out. That's a lot of bucks to "misplace."

If they have all that money laying around to be "lost," they can also afford to give each taxpayer an $8,000 check. Which means, the recession could be over in a week. That is, unless Clinton's people were actually able to steal all that money and it's no longer available. . . .

And, while we're talking money here, how about that pardon Clinton gave a billionaire who skipped out on a half a billion dollar income tax bill, eh? Turns out Marc Rich absconded to Switzerland and gave up his American citizenship. Later, he had a change of heart. So, he gave his ex-wife, Denise Rich, a few hundred-million bucks to help get things back here fixed. She gives big bucks to the Clintons and the Democratic Party and . . . Walla!

That story may not be done yet, either. Rumors on the street have it that the Clintons have their own little Swiss bank account brimming full of bucks. Which means, quite a lot of people are going to be watching very closely to see how that money gets laundered into this country. Book deals and/or speech honorariums, maybe?

While Clinton had his pardon pen out, he let a philandering rapist who hits on little girls out of prison a couple years early. In 1995, former Congressman Mel Reynolds was convicted in Illinois on two counts of solicitation of child pornography, three counts of criminal sexual assault, three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and four counts of obstruction of justice. Turns out, Reynolds was caught after having repeated sexual encounters with a 16 year old campaign volunteer. Worse, he used that girl to get him a 15-year-old Catholic high school girl. A transcript of one of Reynolds' sleazy conversations presented in court is available(1), but it is only recommended for adults who are comfortable with the vernacular of the inner-city streets.

Clinton and Reynolds were campaigning buddies, of course. Both were Rhodes Scholars and they liked to jog together. Also interesting, Jesse Jackson acted as spiritual advisor to both of them.

Anyway, in 1997 Reynolds was also convicted in federal court for playing fast and loose with campaign funds. The 15 charges included bank fraud, wire fraud and lying to the Federal Election Commission.

Now that Reynolds is back on the street, Jesse Jackson is hiring him to work for the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition. He was also named director of Salem Baptist Church's newly formed community development corporation in Chicago.

And so goes this country's most ethical administration.

UNWANTED COMMUNIST ADVICE

Before Dubya even got situated, the communist dictators started kibitzing. One of them even insinuated President Bush seems "stupid."

Our first commie gadfly kibitzer is Mikhail Gorbachev, deposed dictator of the old Soviet Union and presently President, The Gorbachev Foundation. Gorbachev totally screwed up his own country, so he decided to come over here and preach the benefits of communism to members of our government.

Actually, there were a lot of hard feelings about Gorbachev in the former Soviet Union -- and no money to be made -- so he got out of there. And, where else can he disparage capitalism while at the same time make a few million bucks? Within six months of arriving here, he was the darling of the Democratic Party and hundreds of other socialists. In turn, they helped Gorbachev become very rich -- most of it in a tax-free sort of way. Hence, The Gorbachev Foundation.

Anyway, Gorbachev published a "Dear Mr. Bush" letter Christmas day in the Washington Post. In it, he lectures our new President on world affairs.

"I hope, Mr. Bush, as the new American president, that you will give up any illusion that the 21st century can, or even should, be the 'American Century.' Globalization is a given -- but 'American globalization' would be a mistake. In fact, it would be something devoid of meaning and even dangerous."

Those who remember a little history would know that, under Gorbachev, the Soviet Union went bankrupt. We had to bail them out with billions of bucks and thousands of tons of food. He was little more than an old fool who epitomized the Peter Principal. Had Ronald Reagan not put the Soviet Union on our welfare rolls, Gorbachev would probably never have made it out of there alive. No matter, he lectures:

"I would go even further and say it is time for America's electorate to be told the blunt truth: that the present situation of the United States, by which a part of its population is able to enjoy a life of extraordinary comfort and privilege, is not tenable over the long run as long as an enormous portion of the world lives in abject poverty, degradation and backwardness."

Old communists never die. They just keep strutting their stuff. All the world must be on our welfare rolls, else . . . what? He gets to that:

"It is also difficult to believe that, under present circumstances, relations between the United States, on the one hand, and China, India and all the rest of the earth that lives in abject poverty, on the other, could develop in a positive direction. Nor is it possible, on the basis of its present posture, for the United States to establish effective, long-run cooperation with its traditional allies, Europe first and foremost."

Gorbachev, you see, is a proponent of "world governance." And, to him, world governance means, "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Of course, Gorbachev & friends get the limousines and the penthouses.

Already, Russia and China have formed an alliance against us. They are trying to get India to join them. This global governance -- whether through the United Nations or another organization -- will redistribute the wealth. Our wealth.

Well, oil up your American six-shooter, cause we ain't buying into it! It's bad enough we have our own set of socialists in government. We certainly do not need fools like Gorbachev stirring the pot even more. However, he did get one thing absolutely correct, in part:

"Finally, as concerns Russia, the fact that relations between the United States and Russia have deteriorated over the course of recent years is hardly a secret. Responsibility for this state of affairs must be shared between Russian and American leadership."

How true! President Clinton effectively delegated the management of U.S.-Russian relations to Vice President Gore. The charter of the U.S.-Russia Commission on Economic and Technical Cooperation, co-chaired by Gore and Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin, was eventually expanded to include the full range of U.S.-Russia relations. Gore then picked Strobe Talbott at the State Department and Lawrence Summers at Treasury to help. This Gore-Talbott-Summers "troika" developed and executed all Russian policy decisions for the Clinton-Gore administration -- with no accountability or checks and balances within the administration or Congress.

Gore, Talbott and Summers obviously knew absolutely nothing about what they were doing. We sent over billions of our tax dollars and most of it was ripped off by the powers that be. Hence, the Russian economy collapsed (see issue #201 for the story) and the Russian people suffered.

We wonder why Gorbachev never touched on these real truths. Would that get him in enough hot water with politicians on both sides of the ocean so he could get his gravy train cut off? Yeah. Probably.

Now comes Bill Clinton's new buddy, Fidel Castro. Last Saturday, Castro said that his government will "keep a close eye on the new Bush administration." He said that he will not judge it beforehand, then pointed out that millions of Cubans are now trained to handle firearms.

"A new administration of a very irregular form has just been installed in the United States,'' Castro told a crowd. "We will carefully watch every step it makes and every word it pronounces. Absolutely nothing will take us by surprise." Then Castro said that he hopes the new American President is "not as stupid as he seems."

Perhaps old Fidel shouldn't go too awfully far with that macho rhetoric. After all, the Bush administration just canceled the old executive order forbidding the assassination of foreign officials. Fidel would surely be surprised if one of our little old cruise missiles came flying into his bedroom late one night.

THE RLC WORKS FOR LIBERTY

There's some very good news for all who love liberty: The Republican Liberty Caucus is growing by leaps and bounds! Many states already have established chapters. Other state and local groups are forming. The Republican Liberty Caucus is a movement who's time has come.

Of course, it's easy to figure out what the Republican Liberty Caucus is all about. The hint is in their name -- their middle name is "Liberty." The RLC's goals seem simple in their effectiveness: Provide a forum for liberty minded Americans and work to get liberty minded candidates elected in all levels of government.

Last December, the Republican Liberty Caucus had a national convention in Atlanta, Georgia. In attendance were dignitaries like past RLC President Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) and Rep. Bob Barr (R-GA). Therein, longtime GOP activist Chuck Muth was elected as the Republican Liberty Caucus National Chairman. Chuck Muth has served as Nevada's RLC head for the past four years and volunteers a lot of his time providing campaigning classes around the country.

"The Republican Liberty Caucus is a very unique organization under the GOP's big tent," Muth said. "Unlike other Republican affiliate groups, we don't care what your race is. We don't care about your color, or national origin, or income, or age or gender, or sexual orientation. We only care if you champion limited government as authorized by the Constitution, personal freedom and individual responsibility."

Already, Chuck's energy and willingness to help all groups get formed and ready for the next election cycle is evident on both the State and local levels. New web pages and active discussion groups were immediately formed and a whole new series of campaigning classes are planned.

"The RLC believes the United States Constitution is the original 'Contract With America,'" concluded Muth. "It's time for us to concentrate on electing representatives who will actually live up to their oath to honor, abide by and defend this greatest political document of all time. Democrats and others who would shred that compact with our Founding Fathers need to be wiped off the electoral map. I'm sorry. Was that too blunt?"

No . . . not too blunt, Chuck. The clarion cry is "Liberty" and the protection of Liberty requires energy and determination. Unelecting those who so consistently disparage our Constitution will require the activity of thousands of us. But there will be thousands of us in the RLC. Working together in the Republican Liberty Caucus provides a much needed forum in which to develop tactics, compare notes for what works best and share resources. The RLC has many people with many different abilities, which means that we can all keep learning as we help.

Also elected at the December Republican Liberty Caucus national convention were Murray Sabrin of New Jersey as Vice Chairman, Laura Kotelman of Illinois as Treasurer and Rob Booth of Texas as Secretary. Rounding out the National Committee will be the RLC's founder, Eric Dondero of Texas, Tom Walls of Florida and Rick Sincere of Virginia.

Readers might also wish to note the sterling group of advisors listed on the RLC web page.(1) Also listed are (most) State chapters and a method of joining the group.

Chuck Muth, announced that there will also be a new web site full of information.(2) Anyone interested may also sign up for the RLC e-mail newsletter.(3)

MORE TRASH TO TAKE OUT

About the only thing interesting about Clinton's buddies like British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the other "world leaders" in Europe is that they are fun to watch. They're stretching their wings and trying to fly with this new Fabian socialist program recently renamed the "Third Way." However, their wings seem to have atrophied muscles.

Clinton, Clinton & Gore tried to inflict that on us, too, with the very same results: recession. Seldom realized, however, is how much of that garbage is entrenched here now.

The federal government has been stepping away from the style of government intended by the Founding Fathers for over seventy years. The first fifty years of that is another story. To properly explain the vast strides taken away from our Constitutional form of government these past few years, we should probably look at the cabal of perpetrators involved. Most of them are still in place and easy to spot.

The Clintons and Gore were, of course, partly the ringleaders for the past eight years. Except, when one scratches the surface, Clinton's friends Joe Lieberman and Al From pop up as clearly as red welts on a freshly caned buttock.

It starts with the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC)(1). The DLC was founded in 1985. "The past chairs include President Bill Clinton, former Rep. Dave McCurdy of Oklahoma, Sen. John Breaux of Louisiana, former Sen. Sam Nunn of Georgia, Sen. Charles Robb of Virginia and House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt of Missouri." The current president is Joe Lieberman and Al From is the Chief Executive Officer.

The DLC "think tank" is the Progressive Policy Institute (PPI)(2), which describes itself as a "Third Way" organization: "The Progressive Policy Institute is a catalyst for political change. Its mission is to modernize progressive politics and government for the Information Age. Leaving behind the stale left-right debates of the industrial era, PPI is a prolific source of 'Third Way' thinking that is shaping the emerging politics of the 21st century."

An offshoot of the DLC and PPI is The New Democrat Network(NDN)(3). Interestingly enough, the NDN was founded in 1996 by Senator Joe Lieberman, chairman of the DLC. The NDN "acts as a political venture capital fund to create a new generation of elected officials eager to lead the U.S. and the world into the 21st century and the Internet Age. NDN is committed to electing political leaders who are capable of realizing the great promise of the new century while ensuring that no one is left behind."

NDN has 65 members in the House and 16 in the senate. Generally speaking, the function of the NDN is to act as the DLC's political action committee and launder soft money to favored Congressional campaign committees.

The above are the quiet Bill Clinton and Tony Blair style "Third Way" worker bees in the background. They favor the Oxford Rhodes Scholar and Fabian practice of incrementally inflicting socialism on us and ultimately instituting global governance. Like Joe Lieberman, they say one thing, then vote against our American way anytime a meaningful vote is presented.

Now comes the hard core radical socialists:

The House has a group called the Progressive Caucus.(4) According to their charter (which they just cleaned up within the last couple months): "The members of the Progressive Caucus share a common belief in the principles of social and economic justice, non-discrimination, and tolerance in America and in our relationships with other countries. We also seek to embody and give voice to national priorities which reflect the interests and needs of all the American people, not just the wealthy and the powerful."

That sounds fine, in and of itself. However, the Progressive Caucus is part of (who runs who?) The Progressive Challenge.(5) The Progressive Challenge states it is "coordinated from the Institute for Policy Studies, links researchers, activists, and citizens organizations with the Congressional Progressive Caucus." Whatever.

The fact is that both of these groups are closely aligned with Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).(6) Perhaps many readers will recognize DSA's goals: "a humane international social order based on equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, gender and racial equality, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, and non- oppressive relationships." That most of these very words can also be found in the Democratic Party platform is no accident.

DSA is an affiliate member organization of the Socialist International(7), the largest political organization in the world, with 140 member organizations in over 70 nations. They even share the same web page system. The DSA supplies links directly to the Democratic Party, Progressive Caucus, DLC, PPI, and NDN, because they all share the same ideals and membership.

Last but not least: For more information, on just how neatly the socialist's activities blend in with the U.S. Democratic Party (and the AFL-CIO), be sure to check the Social Democrats, USA(8) web page. That is also very enlightening.

So, Clinton and Gore might be gone. But, they leave behind over 130 elected officials to continue their work. Quite obviously, we still have a little work to do before we can get comfortable.
