LIBERALS: GET OVER IT

If nothing else, we have to admit that the dorks on the left are certainly fun to watch. The so called unbiased "media elite" came to work dressed in black after the election. Most of what we hear coming from the left these post-election days is a perpetual whine. There have been no real specifics about what they are whining about. Other than the fact that their socialist candidate lost, they just seem to want to be difficult.

Yeah, it's very interesting to hear the constant vitriol coming from the very same liberals who gave us perpetual sensitivity training. Their double standard is showing again. It appears they feel free to call conservatives anything they please but conservatives are not to say anything.

Well, here's a news flash for the anti-Constitutional socialists out there: those days are over! We're here. We're pumped. We won. And our aim is to remove the Blues from around the country via some strong conservative programs that will help all Americans equally. So, get used to it, liberals.

Leftist luminaries like James Carville now admit that the Democrat Party needs to be "born again." Actually, the many cancerous corruptions within the Democratic Party have metastasized. The Party is on a death watch. Many of us would like to let it die in peace. But, if the membership of the Party of the Ass doesn't quit crying and bickering about every little thing they can think of, we may work to hasten that demise.

That socialist Democratic Party needs a major change in leadership immediately. The smell emitted by the skunks at the top has become terrible. There's someone available who is a perfect fit for the last Democratic Party chairman, too.

Yes, former presidential candidate Howard Dean wants the job and should have it. "He told me he was thinking about it," said Steve Grossman, a former chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Grossman said that he "strongly urged" Dizzy Dean to go for the job. We do, too.

The Democratic Party was taken over by the socialist party years ago. Dizzy Dean, himself being an avid socialist, is a perfect fit. Besides, Dean will be great fun to watch because there is no telling what he will do or say in any situation.

On a more serious note, there is yet another important problem that, if Democrats do not correct immediately, will cause conservatives to act:

John Kerry all but vacated his Senate seat for a year while campaigning for president. That is, by collecting a salary, but never doing any work, Kerry committed fraud on the American people. If there is any honor left in the Senate, Kerry will be booted.

Worse, there is still the looming matter of Kerry's "other than honorable" discharge that must be resolved. Because, legally, Kerry may be barred from holding any public office.

These matters must be resolved before the new Senate is seated.

Now we hear that Kerry is "fired up" as he (finally) returns to the Senate. Reports are that Kerry plans to play a "highly visible role," as in using his Senate seat to "renew combat with President Bush."

Reports were that Kerry met with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Whip Harry Reid (D-NV) to discuss obstructionist tactics. Kerry plans to start out creating problems at this week's lame-duck session.

Apparently this jerk actually has plans to run for president again in four years and so intends to continue right on campaigning. This cannot be allowed. Kerry must be made to go away -- peacefully or otherwise.

Many of us were going to forget the matter of Kerry's military discharge if he went back into the woodwork and shut up. Apparently, though, that is not to be the case. Therefore, it will be full speed ahead for many conservative and veteran groups and that activity will continue until Kerry is out of public life permanently.

Yep, we're here and we're ready. Liberals are in for a very major surprise. Already bloggers have the liberal mainstream media very worried. The New York and Washington media controllers do not yet understand what is happening and that it is impossible for them to win. They either have to join us as conservatives or go belly-up as corporations. There are hundreds of very intelligent bloggers out here who will be scrutinizing everything the media does -- and reporting on it to hundreds of thousands of others, many of whom will also be commenting.

And so it will go with national politics, too. No more free passes for the liberals. Socialism is out. Or, it soon will be, anyway. The American people are going to be closely scrutinizing everything that happens in Washington and commenting. Often loudly.

Get used to it, liberals. Your days are numbered -- and that number is not large.

SAY NO TO AMNESTY

One would think that "standing up for a stronger, more secure nation" would also include protecting our borders against the massive onslaught of illegal aliens and tons of illegal drugs entering with near impunity. Unfortunately, that is not the case at all.

The federal government talks of terrorism. Well, when American citizens are not able to walk the streets of major cities because gangs of illegal aliens, not police, control those streets, we class that as terrorism.

That came about, of course, because of the negligence of the central government. Our country's borders have major holes through which thousands of illegal aliens walk daily. The central government (Clinton administration) found it easier to bother all Americans with presenting documentation than to protect our borders. The Clinton administration also insured that the government provides illegals free medical treatment, education and welfare -- at the expense of all legal American citizens. Today, many illegal aliens attend universities for less money than American citizens are required to pay. They are, of course, subsidized by the American taxpayer.

There was a time, back in my distant memory, that when a bureaucrat came upon illegal aliens they would have them apprehended and deported. The same laws are still on the books. But, apparently those laws no longer need to be obeyed by anyone.

Today, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has the responsibility for enforcing immigration laws in the nation's interior. But, ICE only has 2,300 agents for interior enforcement. Those agents are tasked with finding some 80,000 criminal aliens wandering our nation's streets, plus another 320,000 foreign nationals known as 'absconders' who fled after being ordered deported. Unfortunately, there are no federal officials bothering to round up the other few million illegal immigrants permanently squatting here and sucking up our tax dollars in services.

According to authorities, over 1.2 million people attempt to cross U.S. borders illegally each year -- that they know about. Many of them are OTMs (Other than Mexicans). No one knows how many are potential terrorists, just that some are.

Mexican President Vicente Fox is no friend of the people of the United States. He heads one of the most corrupt governments in the world and even his police and military are involved in smuggling illegal drugs into our country. Now he's demanding that our federal government give amnesty to over 3 million illegal aliens living in the United States. Meanwhile, Mexico continues acting like a very bad neighbor.

Now comes the amnesty debate again. Because they were able to violate our laws without getting caught, President Bush plans to reward a few million illegals with permission to stay here longer -- or maybe permanently. Such action is very wrong. It sends a signal to Americans, as well as all people of the world, that federal laws are arbitrary and capricious. Because, when it becomes acceptable for one whole class of people to willfully violate our laws when they find it to their personal benefit, that same type of consideration must then be extended to everyone in this country, plus anyone else who can sneak in.

Illegal aliens are already a permanent underclass. Out of the many millions illegally in this country, tens of thousands are packing our prisons, tens of thousands more are involved in organized drug crime and/or street gangs and a few million others are on welfare. Yet another problem is that they do not even bother to learn our language and customs. Worse yet, a large segment of that population is actually scheming to break off a chunk of our country for their own.

Why would we want to allow them to stay?

All illegals should be arrested and put in jail. Or, there not being enough room in our prison system for all these lawbreakers, they should be shipped back to Southern Mexico, where it is a long walk back to the U.S. border. After all, if American citizens are expected to obey federal law, most certainly all foreigners must. Either that, or, we all get to violate federal laws with impunity.

Another problem is those in and out of government conspiring to help illegal aliens enter this country and function while here. According to federal law, these people should also be arrested and imprisoned. The law is clear on that, too. For instance:

18 USC 3 makes accessory after the fact a felony: "Whoever, knowing that an offense against the United States has been committed, receives, relieves, comforts or assists the offender in order to hinder or prevent his apprehension, trial or punishment, is an accessory after the fact."

It stands to reason that aiding or employing an illegal alien would amount to comforting and assisting the offender and that not reporting the illegal alien would amount to aiding in the prevention of apprehension. And so it is.

Because, now comes 18 USC 4, the misprision of felony law: "Whoever, having knowledge of the actual commission of a felony cognizable by a court of the United States, conceals and does not as soon as possible make known the same to some judge or other person in civil or military authority under the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both."

This could lead one to believe that everyone would be required under the law to turn in any illegal aliens, like pronto. Else, one can get up to three years free room and board in the hoosegow.

For information on the extent of the illegal alien problem see Issue #313 (and references)[1]. Last week KVOA Television in Tucson, AZ reported on "Return to Terrorist Alley"[2] which is also very enlightening.

Clearly, a great deal more needs to be done to protect our nation. Giving amnesty to flagrant lawbreakers does nothing to protect our national security. It only compounds the problem.

SAY NO TO SPECTER AS CHAIRMAN

Well isn't that interesting: John Edwards is on his way out, so that makes Arlen Specter the trial lawyers' darling in the Senate. The liberal Specter is also in line to become chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. If that happens, we're betting that President Bush's plans for tort reform will be dead on arrival.

The real problem, though, will be the Senate approval for Supreme Court Justices. Bush may get to pick three this term, as well as elevate Clarence Thomas to Chief Justice. As Justice Committee chairman, will Specter play ball and support Bush's picks?

Many groups around the country doubt that Specter will dutifully support Bush's nominations for the Court. Specter, of course, always one to babble on with silly garbage that often means little or nothing to our way of government, spouted off yet again and caused an uproar with conservative and religious groups.

Now, I must admit that I have never been a fan of Arlen Specter. Let's face it, the guy is a liberal with an "R" after his name. In short, he is just not a dependable friend of Liberty or our Constitution. But, even though some others are not being fair about this situation, we will here.

It has been said often this past week that conservatives are angry because Arlen Specter "Borked" Robert Bork when he was nominated for the position of Supreme Court Justice. That's true. Specter had a lot to do with rejecting Bork. But, maybe we should do a full stop here and look into why that happened:

Judge Bork first made national news during his senate hearings for Justice of the Supreme Court. Therein, he clearly stated that the Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the Constitution are "as meaningless as an ink blot."

I heard him say that. What can I say? Bork Borked himself!

What other amendments, or sections of the Constitution, would he also choose to disregard as Justice? Don't we already have quite enough problems because of judges and Justices "finding things" in the Constitution and/or disregarding parts of the Constitution they may feel inconvenient for the direction they want government to go?

Which means, were I a senator, there is no way Bork would have gotten my vote. Robert Bork, of course, was not approved for the high court. Nor should he have been.

Later, Bork was proven quite wrong, in that Justice Thomas, and others, have found real meaning to the words making up the Tenth Amendment.

In 1996, I read parts of a book Bork published. Therein, Bork recommended that Congress be provided the power to override Supreme Court decisions (it already has, somewhat). He also proposed strict censorship as a tool for providing a more moral society.

Now, some readers might agree with Bork, but this scribbler will never subscribe to any method of limiting liberty. Therefore, in this instance, I believe Specter was correct in rejecting Bork for a seat on the Supreme Court.

What we want, what we need, in Supreme Court Justices are people who will honor the original intent of the Founding Fathers and keep the federal government out of all matters not specifically tasked to it by the Constitution. President Bush will (probably) appoint Justices who tend towards the original intent doctrine. If so, we may yet get to leave a little freedom and liberty to our great-grandchildren.

Senator Specter will share the Judiciary Committee with other liberals like Leahy, Kennedy, Feinstein, and Schumer. Unless Specter maintains strict control, anything could happen there.

Personally, I do not want to see any of them on any type of "legal" committee having jurisdiction over anything more important than school crossing guards. But, I don't get a vote on that.

All the commotion concerning Arlen Specter as committee chairman is both healthy and productive. For many reasons, Specter deserves the scrutiny.

But, we must also keep in mind that Specter helped seat Clarence Thomas on the Court during a very contentious hearing and Thomas turned out to be very supportive of liberty. And, the fact is, Specter also helped save us from a potential Justice who had no intention whatsoever of honoring our Constitution as written.

Nonetheless, I for one cringe every time I think of Senator Arlen Specter as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. That could be a very worrisome situation.
