 THE CLINTON LEGACY: TREASON

It was released, finally. The heavily redacted Cox report -- a third of the final report is still secret -- is now available. And surprise, surprise, nearly everything pertaining to the extent of espionage during the Clinton administration, one-hundred pages worth, was removed under the guise of "national security."

In the mid-1990s the PRC [People's Republic of China] stole, possibly from a U.S. national weapons laboratory, classified thermonuclear weapons information that cannot be identified in this unclassified report. Because this recent espionage case is currently under investigation and involves sensitive intelligence sources and methods, the Clinton administration has determined that further information cannot be made public without affecting national security or ongoing criminal investigations.

The report shows a few things we have already reported. For instance: U.S. encryption technology was compromised (read NSA's Echelon spy network) when the three satellites went down with Chinese launches. Motorola had helped China design a platform for offloading Iridium satellites that was a precursor to a post-boost vehicle for offloading MIRVs. Also, Hughes Electronics and Loral Space & Communications Ltd. helped China improve the accuracy, range and payload of its rockets and missiles.

So today, thanks to the Clinton administration and a few large Democratic Party "campaign contributors," communist China has 23 huge thermonuclear weapons ready to wipe out 23 of our cities.

Don't forget, though, there's also that little matter of the President of the United States allowing communist China to obtain much of our best cryptography, the supercomputers and tooling necessary to make nuclear weapons, the missile technology necessary to deliver said thermonuclear bombs over here, the satellite technology necessary to bring the Chinese military forces out of the dark ages, and all sorts of sophisticated high-tech military communications equipment.

Even so, the best parts were redacted for national security reasons, says the nation's First Liar. But America now knows by experience that anything this administration says is untrue. The Clintons, and their paid cadre of public defenders, can't ever seem to tell the truth, even when it benefits them.

While it is true that, in some ways, this wholesale betrayal of the American people was a bipartisan scam, it is also true that most Republicans at least waited until they were out of office before taking money for helping the Chinese. The Clinton, Clinton & Gore team, on the other hand, traded everything and anything available for campaign funds and other considerations.

Still, the complete story will never come out because, scratch the surface of the China connection a little and names like George Bush, Henry Kissinger, Al Haig and over a dozen Members of Congress are exposed. Today, there are at least another dozen former federal government officials lobbying for communist China and quite a few others with major investments over there. And let's face it, they all help China, for money, to the detriment of our nation's security.

Then there's National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, who practiced law with the Washington law firm of Hogan & Hartson, where he was a partner and director of the Firm's international trade group -- a Washington lawyer- lobbyist. Burger was, in fact, a high priced paid lobbyist for China, so it's expected that there is a major cover-up in progress today.

Rep. Christopher Cox (R-CA) said the committee was surprised to learn of the breadth and depth of technology that China has culled over the decades. "We were sad to learn that the PRC has stolen information on every ballistic missile and the neutron bomb," Cox said. "Counterintelligence programs at the national weapons laboratories today fail to meet even minimal standards." As recently as 1997, the report says, the Chinese obtained information about tracking nuclear submarines which, if developed, would undermine the whole of Britain's and America's nuclear deterrent.

The report also says that "the Chinese continued to operate under the Clinton regime and that the relaxation of export controls by him in 1996 allowed them to obtain 600 supercomputers which help them to test nuclear-weapon technology. Although the PLA has had details of the miniature W-88 warhead, 10 times the power of the Hiroshima weapon, but only three feet long, since 1988, it is not known if they have managed to build the missiles and other technology to launch and aim it."

To develop the warheads, China needed the supercomputers, which Clinton gave them. Additionally, the committee obtained evidence that "during the 1990s," China stole "technology data from U.S. industry valued at millions of dollars." The report says that "the PRC used Chinese nationals hired by U.S. firms for that purpose." Then, the report adds: "The Clinton administration has determined that no details of this evidence may be made public." We do know, however, that in one 1996-97 operation, the U.S. Customs Service seized $36-million in "excess military property" that was being shipped to China illegally.

"I strongly believe that our continuing engagement with China has produced benefits for our national security," Clinton said in a speech in Edinburg, Texas. There was no elaboration on how the possibility of China nuking millions of American citizens could actually benefit our national security, though.

The White House said in its written response to the Cox report: "We have operated for too long without updated legislation in this very important area. The administration will work with the appropriate committees in Congress and U.S. industry to obtain a new Export Administration Act."

Sure. After China already has nearly everything it wants. Smooth move, Slick.

There are so many espionage laws they're starting to contradict each other. Yet, none of those involved in this massive Chinese espionage caper ever seem to get arrested. Apparently, foreigners and American military industrialists -- especially those with a lot of money to "contribute" to certain political campaigns -- seem to have access to any top-secret information they wish and a pass to steal (and commit treason) with impunity.

Such are the ways of our nation's security procedures. They are designed to protect the bunglers in the FBI and the spook community. But, more importantly, national security laws protect the misdeeds of elected officials and the big contributors to their election campaigns.

Indeed, these groups are obviously above our law.

TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION

We had a war about taxation without representation once. As I remember, we won it, too. Cognizant of that problem, the Founding Fathers inserted a little clause as Article I, Section 7 of our Constitution -- the very same Constitution which, I might add, is also the job description of the federal government:

"All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills."

The words "All" and "shall" are rather easy for American citizens to understand. It's just that after certain people sit in Washington, D.C. for too long, they loose their ability to pay attention and follow directions. They start thinking of themselves as the nation's Grand Pooh-Bahs, the controlling elite, instead of as American citizens temporarily employed as public servants.

Consequently, a disturbing statement was released by House Majority Leader Dick Armey last week, rightly criticizing the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for voting to raise the Gore tax on telephone users by $1-billion. The tax, which is levied on all long distance telephone calls, has been dubbed the Gore tax because Vice President Al Gore had a prominent role in implementing the tax with the FCC. Rep. Armey writes:

Instead of reaching out and touching someone, they've reached out and taxed everyone.

This increase means you'll talk less to your family and friends and pay more to your government. Every time you make a call, you'll pay a surcharge imposed by FCC bureaucrats. And every time you look at your phone bill, you'll have the Vice President to thank.

The bigger question here is whether this tax is even legal. The last time I checked only Congress had the authority to consider tax measures. This new tax is unconstitutional. How the FCC justifies circumventing regular order is beyond me.

Taxes like these make me long even more for that magical day in the very near future when the sun will finally set on the Clinton-Gore era.

We agree with Rep. Armey that this is an illegal act. Furthermore, it is also thievery under color of law. And, due to the huge amount of this thievery, we recommend that all readers call for the immediate arrest and jailing, without bond, of those involved, and that they be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for their crimes.

We must make an example of these sneak-thieves so that all elected officials and bureaucrats will know that we take our Constitution seriously and will no longer tolerate these blatant violations by public servants.

Tell Congress so. Soon.

LOOKING FOR A PRESIDENT

The time has come for action. No more hand wringing. No more sitting back hoping that, sooner or later, the American public will catch on to the persistent, ever present, lies from the left. No more Mr. Nice Guy. It's time to take off the gloves and fight back.

We need competence and experience to face the socialists. We need doers, not just talkers. So, in order to back up talk with action, I made a few telephone calls to successful political campaign movers and shakers of years gone by. Nearly everyone agreed. We need swift action. The political Neanderthals on the far left must be soundly trounced, once and for all.

We remember, a couple decades ago, when Democrats were more "conservative" than the Republicans are today. Today, many Republicans are big government loving liberals and most Democrats are out and out socialists. We remember, back then, when children and their teachers showed respect for parents and parents had strong input into what was being taught to their kids. We remember, once upon a time, when the federal government minded its own damn business and stayed the hell out of our lives. Today, an American citizen cannot even go to the bathroom without the federal government regulating the means.

We're fed up! We've had enough. It's time to roll back that bloated leviathan we call a federal government to where it was before Roosevelt issued in an era of big government socialism -- back to the days when the word "freedom" actually meant you do not have to ask permission.

Presently, we are but a small group of mostly middle-aged and retired, people. Even so, our cumulative campaign experience already exceeds one-hundred years. Most are good writers, accomplished public speakers and adapt at "working" the news cycles. Some actually "were" the news in their heyday. On the Internet, readers will recognize Jim Robinson, owner and operator of the famous "Free Republic" web site, as a participant. Readers of paper publications will, likewise, know many of the others.

So, here's the deal:

We are looking for a presidential candidate to support. Not just "a" candidate, though, a special person. An American patriot. A person who has studied, completely understands and agrees with the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers and the United States Constitution, and is also of suitable character to lead our great nation.

And, there is no wiggle room in this. It is the Constitution, 100%, as intended by the Founding Fathers, or no support. This is an all or nothing deal. We are damn sick and tired of equivocation, duplicity and outright lies in government. We will demand that the candidate we support institute swift and permanent changes.

Together, we can mount an aggressive campaign for our candidate, complete with public relations, a series of op-eds published throughout the country, position papers, campaign literature and a successful recruitment procedure.

We can do this without fancy meetings and hours of personal contact because we will all be operating from the same political platform: Our Constitution. We can easily recruit other campaign workers because they too will know and understand the political platform. Political debate becomes easy when anything the opponent disagrees with will be directly in violation with our Constitution and the intent of the Founding Fathers. Those Constitutional dissenters on the far left will be publicly rebuked, chided and reprimanded with every anti- Constitutional proposal, which presently includes the whole of their political platform.

What we will not do is to participate in government after the election.

At the moment, our numbers are few. Yet, we are spread out across the country and cover most of the populated areas. Some of us are already speaking with other like minded activists. This publication may also pique the interest of a few good people. The momentum is growing.

But, before anyone calls or writes, remember the parameters -- the platform, as it were. We want a strictly Constitutional federal government. A government that protects our borders, calls for "fair" rather then "free" trade, protects State's rights and stays out of the personal business of the people and their State and local governments. And we believe that government should cost only about one-third of today's federal government.

Who shall be our candidate? We do not know yet. One thing is certain, though: Those identified by the liberal national media as front-runners need not apply.

ON GUN CONTROL

Yes, it's true. I am a firm believer in gun control. After all, I live here, too, and could be hit by a stray bullet just like anyone else. Unfortunately, innocent people are hit all to frequently in inner-cities such as my old home of Detroit.

I also believe in automobile and truck control. A crazy driver can kill me just as dead as a crazed gunman. And, by extension, I believe in chain saw and hammer control, too. Think about it . . . ouch!

On the other hand, all of these objects have something in common. Used properly, they make our lives easier. Left alone, they are but inanimate tools.

Hammer control, to me, is driving the nail in properly without smacking any of my body parts in the process. Chain saw control takes a skill I have yet to master. Therefore, when I start one of those things up, I am very, very careful.

With vehicle control, I have been rather lucky. Yeah, I sort of aim, as some often suggest of my driving; others have also mentioned the words "guardian angel" from time to time. Still, I have not had a ticket in over 20 years and I have never hit anything to the point of causing damage -- those little "thuds" while backing up notwithstanding.

Gun control is different, though. I learned about that as a child. That is, if one does not pay attention, line things up properly, and then gently squeeze rather than jerk the trigger, there is no telling where the resultant bullet will end up. And, gun control, of course, is making sure that projectile goes where it is intended to go.

It's the same with an automobile or truck, actually. The driver -- aimer in my case, some say -- is completely and entirely responsible for where the vehicle ends up and the results it may cause along the way. So, if I am not paying attention and my vehicle takes off and smashes through the window of the local "Gas & Shop," I am the one to blame. Because, obviously, I used or abused my vehicle inappropriately.

So, too, with my handgun. I am the one responsible for where each and every bullet coming out of that thing ends up. No exceptions. Therefore, I favor gun control every bit as much as I favor vehicle control.

Consequently, I have been known to practice a lot over the years. I no longer practice driving in public, though. Like others, I already drive enough. Shooting in public, however, is something that seldom happens. And because I cannot go practice that on city streets, at the local bank or even in a large grocery store -- places where a handgun might come in handy in an emergency -- other arrangements are necessary.

But, that's understandable. You would not want me practicing driving really fast -- as in an emergency -- in an urban or suburban neighborhood, either. So, in my younger days, when we wanted to practice speeding, we used the drag strip and/or the oval race track. And, while it may or may not be true that it looks like I'm aiming while driving today, it is also true that I have a couple hundred hours aiming vehicles while they are traveling quite fast. That I also joined the upside down club a couple times while practicing that is, well . . . understandable, considering.

Today, I task myself similarly with handguns. That is, to see if I can actually do what I sometimes think I can (still) do with a weapon, and also do it properly, I sometimes enter the critical arena of competition.

Competition has all but made me retire my rifle. Without a good scope, I no longer see much clearly when it is over 100 yards away. However, a pistol is not intended for long range shooting. And, I have no problem controlling where the projectile goes with a handgun -- which is my responsibility. Better yet, I can still aim and fire somewhat quickly. Gun control. This is evidenced by the fact that when we wander down to the local watering hole after the competition, I am never (yet) the one buying the adult beverages.

Readers must accept a little editorial liberty here. I removed the paragraphs concerning the results of the misuse of hammers and chain saws as being unnecessarily gory. Suffice it to say that misuse can be not only messy, but equally as unhealthy as that of a gun or vehicle.

My point is that there are many thousands of Americans from coast to coast who agree with my style of gun control and are much more skilled in controlling their particular tool. These people are a major assist to our society and should be recognized and defended as such.

Because, sometimes a handgun is a very handy tool. For instance, I was driving down a side street in a residential area one summer afternoon and I happened to see a uniformed person doing a strange dance on someone's front lawn. Approaching closer, I noticed that there was a pit bull type dog firmly attached to the young officer's leg.

Well, I stopped and gave said dog two healthy kicks in the shoulder/neck area, to no avail. Not wanting to get my hands down around the business end of the angry beast, I asked the officer if I should shoot.

"YES!" (expletives deleted) yelled the young man. So I did. Difficult shot, that. The uniformed man couldn't seem to stay still very long.

That done, I went home and never heard another word about it for three weeks. Until, that is, an elderly woman jumped on my case at a neighborhood meeting.

"I'm not so sure I want to be around people who secretly carry guns," she chastised me privately.

"Why," I asked politely. "You wouldn't mind if I were driving my big old Mercury next to you on the expressway at 75 miles an hour with the front bumper not 15 feet from your hip. That's got to be a lot more dangerous than a pound and a half of steel at rest in my belt." I awaited a remark about my driving, but none was forthcoming.

"You know, I never thought of it quite that way," the woman said later in the evening.

Few people ever do, madam. Few people ever do.

A couple weeks later, a very accomplished handgun instructor walked into a restaurant in my neighborhood about 11:30 p.m., on his way to work. Two street punks were occupied disrobing two screaming waitresses. The man was spotted as he entered the building and one of the punks pulled a gun.

The armed citizen was late for work that night. The coroner picked up the bodies of the punks about three hours later. And that elderly woman never mentioned anything about concealed handguns again because her granddaughter got home disheveled but safe that night.

Every tool in the box has a purpose. And, when you need it, it should be where you can get to it. That makes life a lot easier, and often safer.

We see an example of that today in Australia, where some socialist miscreants in government recently confiscated nearly all privately owned firearms. In the State of Victoria, homicides-with-firearms are up by a whopping 300% and armed robberies immediately increased 44%, throughout the country. http://www.nrawinningteam.com/auresult.html
