HATE SPEECH FROM THE LEFT

That shrill sound from the left comes from the assortment of socialists, communists and fascists collectively called the Democratic Party. The reason is that it's an election year again and they worry their political scams may be exposed before November.

Now, before any Democrats write to say they are not socialists, communists or fascists, I suggest they first take a little time to actually read their party platform. Y'all are the ones who profess all that un-American and un-Constitutional stuff. None of it came from this end. That the Democratic Party has become the ghetto of American politics is self-evident by its platform. None of it conforms with the law of the land: Our Constitution. In fact, the authors of our Constitution would probably have had the authors of a political proposal like today's Democratic Party platform tarred and feathered.

The problem is, if it were not for alternative news sources, the American people would never hear about these major disparities. The far-left's sycophants in the national media support and encourage socialism.

Few Americans know that Hillary is using taxpayer paid workers in the White House to help run her Senate campaign -- or giving Camp David and White House sleep-overs as a reward for large campaign donations. Nor are taxpayers told that she has spent millions in taxpayer funds for special transportation to ferry her and her friends around the country to fund-raisers and other campaign related functions.

Yet, she has no more qualifications to be elected a senator than she does to be elected a mayor, veterinarian or dentist. Were she not married to Bill, New York would have laughed her campaign out of the State within a week.

Same with Al Gore. The leftist national media tell us Gore is "smart" and a "policy wonk." In truth, he is not even smart enough to keep his lies straight. And, as for "policy," Gore made as big of a mess with his "reinventing government" as Hillary tried to do with her attempt to inflict socialized medicine on us. Why is it that no one ever takes Gore to task for the mess he created playing at "reinventing government"?

We don't even hear about their legal problems nowadays. There are still some (plural) major criminal investigations underway for Bill, Hillary and Al. Yet, the media is very quiet about that. Would the media be quiet if they were Republicans? Fat chance! And, how about a Presidential candidate who uses "no controlling legal authority" as an excuse for committing a crime that he knows perfectly well is a felony? That's a very stupid remark from someone who wants to be the nation's chief law enforcement officer.

We don't ask much on this end. But, we have done our research and ask that others do a little of the same. Al Gore and Hillary Clinton want to be elected to high public office. They both have a campaign platform. So, all we ask is that those who support these two leftist candidates examine their campaign platforms and identify just three little things in each platform that are legal functions (as per the Constitution, the Founding Fathers and the U.S. Supreme Court) of the federal government. Just three. That's all. Try it. . . .

The far-left is done with catering to the poor in society. They have that voting block locked up now and can move on. So, they're starting on the soccer moms, who characteristically do not pay in-depth attention to politics. As per Gore's new program plans, there will be a $400-billion annual entitlement for free baby-sitters, medication and other odds and ends thought to be attractive to soccer moms. What is not said is that someone must pay for the new programs -- Gore plans to take the money from some people to give to others. So, let's play the number game here:

Each billion dollars spent by the federal government in new programs equates to an average of another eight dollars and fifty cents per taxpayer in new taxes. Well, using the "old" math, $8.50 times 400 comes out to a rather large number assessed to the average taxpayer, each year, perpetually. Worse yet, all of Gore's new entitlement programs add up to about four-trillion-six-hundred-billion- dollars, which is 4,600 times that $8.50 per taxpayer, over five years.

That would be a household budget buster for all but the multimillionaires in society. And, if anyone thinks only the richest in society would foot the bill, dream on! People like the Kennedys and Rockefellers in society pay zero in inheritance or death taxes and very, very little in income tax. They write the tax laws, after all, so it's no surprise the tax laws favor them and their buddies.

It's the same with the oil "shortage." Think of that as just another redistribution of money. It's contrived by the very rich internationalists and aggravated by their far-left (well financed), whacko environmental groups. We have much more oil in this country than we can use in a few hundred years. But, drilling all that new oil would drive the oil price down and big oil would not profit as much. Nor would the campaign contributions (and other perks) flow to members of government as freely. Governments also profit because they are realizing a windfall in new sales taxes. In fact, most everyone profits from higher prices at the pumps except the consumer.

We must also remember that, a few months ago, both Clinton and Gore told members of OPEC that they could and should cut the flow of oil to drive the price to the consumer up. Gore, of course, wants consumption drastically cut. So, now comes the inflation.

The November election could signal the beginning of the demise of the Democratic Party and all their functional constituencies -- those sleazy "progressive" associations and political grifters of the far- left. It would also be a major blow to the self-perceived credibility ego of their liberal supporters in major media. Therefore, look for the whining and vitriol from everyone on the far-left to increase to a deafeningly high pitch by next month.

OUR RISING LEVEL OF DISCONTENT

On Monday, September 11, 2000 at 1:29 p.m., I heard evidence that we probably are never again to have anything resembling the Constitutional Representative Republic designed by the Founding Fathers and laid down in the Constitution. At that time, a 35 year old man called the Rush Limbaugh show saying that the modern trend towards socialism will overtax his age group and he expects an armed revolution in protest.

Actually, that revolution sentiment runs deep in society today. The federal government is way out of line -- so far afield of its Constitutionally authorized duties and powers that, except for military matters, the candidates of the two major parties do not even campaign on anything Constitutional anymore. Everything in their platform would be forbidden to the federal government, were the government operated as intended by the authors of the Constitution. Instead of supporting freedom and liberty, today's candidates promise different degrees of big government directed socialism.

It's not that most people don't notice and realize the problem, either. The predicament is that most people have no idea what to do about it.

Anyway, when the caller commented that the problem, as he sees it, is that a majority of the voters may now vote to have government take money from others to pay for what they want, Rush Limbaugh chided the caller with a flippant remark that, Constitutionally, should be unnecessary. Rush told the caller to get out and convince a majority of voters that type of socialism is wrong.

In truth, that should not be necessary. We are supposed to have a Constitutionally limited government. That is, the federal government is to be limited to those powers and duties enumerated in the Constitution. The federal government is to do a few tasks properly and nothing else. Many people still want that. So, the revolution thought runs deep around the country.

We also agree that something must soon be done. However, we look for peaceful solutions -- especially Constitutionally legal, honorable and moral solutions.

Recently, we've had the opportunity to review three very interesting proposals from different authors, each proposing nearly the same solution: Divide the United States into two different countries. One section would keep the bloated leviathan we now call government, or whatever it mutates into. The other would be for the freedom lovers among us and be operated as the Founding Fathers intended.

The new country could be called something like the New States of America (NSA). Its government would defend all rights of all people equally, but the powers of the central government would mostly be limited to defending the nation and insuring the free flow of interstate and foreign commerce. States and local government would have the power to regulate certain things, as usual, but the central government would not. However, all governments would be required to support all citizens' unalienable rights of life, liberty and property.

But, unlike the U.S.A. government, officials in the N.S.A. government would be held accountable for every action they take. Any Constitutional violation, or even a capricious violation of a single citizen's rights, would be cause for instant removal from office and possible prosecution.

Therefore, if a person or group of people felt the need to pray in public, onlookers not wanting to participate would just be quiet for a moment and leave them alone. Conversely, church law would not become public law and each would be free to practice the religion of their choice with complete freedom -- as long as they did not bother others with their actions.

Crime in the N.S.A. would be low because the right to keep and bear arms would be nearly absolute; limited only by the ability to actually "bear" the arms of choice and the responsibility of using them correctly. So too with the rights of speech, press, assembly and petition. These are all unalienable rights that should never be limited unless irresponsibly used to bother others in the community.

The socialists might even enjoy living in the N.S.A. Their politics would be very politically incorrect, but there would be no reason to shut them up because it would be illegal for the government to implement any socialist programs. There wouldn't be much need, anyway, because taxes would be less then a third of what we now pay. There would be no tax on marriage, death, savings or even income. The import and export taxes would pay for most government functions and user fees would pay for whatever specialized government services were sporadically needed.

This all sounds great, of course. But, it may be a bit of a problem to implement. The far-left and their minions are not likely to give up any power over the American people -- and certainly not half of the States.

So, that caller to the Rush Limbaugh show may, in fact, be correct about an armed revolt -- albeit, not exactly for the reasons he cites. The waters of discontent are becoming rather warm in many areas around the country. We still have a ways to go before the boiling point is reached. But, there is some point at which a large segment of the American people will collectively say "enough is enough" and take action. Depending on future circumstances, that point may not be too far away.

MEDIA CENSORS POLITICAL NEWS

There is always quite a lot of political censorship going on. It's just that we voters never hear much about most of it. That is, there are still a few reporters on the national scene who dare to file a good, juicy political expose' once in a while. But, they have very liberal editors who do not necessarily like corruption stories concerning Democrats.

And so it was with at least two stories filed at the New York Times this month. Both described high level administration wrongdoing of the type that deserves felony prosecution. But, for reasons only the newspaper's editors know, both were held up from publication.

The different articles concerned Al Gore and Hillary Clinton, which made them timely and important. That could probably also be why they were not immediately published.

Anyway, Washington is a relatively small company town. There aren't many secrets that stay secrets for very long. And, someone told Matt Drudge the stories were being held back.

That ended that.

The first story is like deja vous all over again: Hillary has been making public housing and transportation available as a prize to her major campaign contributors. The White House and Camp David are again an expensive Motel 6 for her deep-pocketed friends.

Unfortunately, when the information came out, there was no mention of the free transportation part that came with the reward package. That cost had to set the American taxpayers back quite a lot.

Anyway, that story shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone, knowing the Clintons. She's about as brash and obnoxious as they come and never has cared much about things like honor, integrity or the law. We can just add this to the list and be happy when they are gone.

The problem is, she wants to be a Senator and he wants to be chief honcho (chairman of the world) at the UN. That's scary!

The other story is just your normal to middling Clinton campaign fund-raising shakedown. Being attorneys, the Clintons are quite adept at hitting the hot buttons in the trial lawyer community. And, in this case, the shakedown concerned a bill called the "Common Sense Liability Reform Act," which eventually passed in the House, 259-158, and the Senate, 61-37. The bill would have curtailed many types of frivolous lawsuits that are good moneymakers for trial lawyers around the country.

Trial lawyers, of course, are major contributors to Democratic fund-raisers. Even before the Democratic convention, they had given $7-million for Al Gore's presidential race. That's because Gore is consistently opposed to federal legislation that could limit court awards.

So, back in 1995, when the Common Sense Liability Reform Act was under consideration, Gore flew to Houston for a fund-raising dinner at the home of a high- profile trial lawyer. Guests included attorneys who have made millions representing individuals claiming harm from asbestos, tobacco and whatever. Such fund-raising meetings went on all over the country. But, at the moment, this is the only one we know of with public records.

Anyway, back at the White House, Gore was given memos by a the DNC staff suggesting he follow-up with calls to some of the Texas lawyers who attended the dinner. One lawyer was Walter Umphrey of Beaumont, who made his bucks suing asbestos manufacturers and the tobacco industry -- Umphrey later shared $3.3 billion in attorneys' fees when the suit settled in 1998. The memo suggested Gore ask Umphrey for $100,000, to be sent right away.

As the official White House story goes, Gore didn't connect with Umphrey, so the task then went to DNC Chairman Don Fowler. The script provided Fowler, which is now public, had him saying: "Sorry you missed the Vice President: I know [you] will give $100K when the President vetoes tort reform, but we really need it now. Please send ASAP if possible."

Yeah. Hint, hint! "When the President vetoes tort reform." Pay money and Clinton will veto bill. Knowing the Clinton's modus operandi, it's not difficult to figure out that script was used throughout the country. But, at least in this one instance, documents suggest that Gore was involved in a "quid pro quo" as part of a campaign fund-raising effort.

It worked with Umphrey, anyway. His firm, Provost & Umphrey, contributed $7,500. Then, after Clinton vetoed the bill, the firm gave another $30,000 to the DNC. That fall, they sent another $10,000. For the mid term elections, they kicked in yet another $260,000.

For this election, they have contributed $420,000 to the party so far.

Previous to the shakedown, Umphrey had not contributed any money. After the "request" by Gore and Fowler, Umphrey and his firm have given a total of about $800,000 to the Democrats. So, there must have been more than just a little "pep talk" and/or "suggestion" involved on Gore's part. Apparently, these people were suddenly intimidated into paying off the Clinton-Gore administration.

Meanwhile, Umphrey is under a grand jury investigation in Texas for his tobacco-fee arrangement. Under the "agreement" of that ridiculous legal scam perpetrated by lawyers for lawyers on consumers, he gets $25-million every three months.

These interesting scandals would have been worthy of front page placement, had the New York Times run them. Instead, they ran a silly story about Bush's campaign ad about Gore -- the so called subliminal "RATS" message -- and another about Wen Ho Lee being released from jail. Consequently, the "Paper of Record" was scooped by a few other news outlets. Later, they grudgingly printed the real news.

There's no telling what other political corruption stories liberal newspapers are hiding. But, knowing their far-left political friends in Washington, we are betting there are quite a few.

AL GORE: IN HIS OWN WORDS

Lying Al: "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet." (Al Gore, CNN's Late Edition, March 9, 1999)

Know it all Al: "I believe our civilization must be considered in some basic way dysfunctional." (Al Gore, Earth in the Balance, 1993, p. 230)

Bill's favorite Al: "... does a great disservice to a man I believe will be regarded as one of our greatest presidents." (Al Gore, on the House Impeachment vote against Bill Clinton, December 19, 1998, Washington Post)

Fast learner Al: "I'm very familiar with the importance of dairy farming in Wisconsin. I've spent the night on a dairy farm here in Wisconsin. If I'm entrusted with the presidency, you'll have someone who is very familiar with what the Wisconsin dairy industry is all about." (The Washington Post, June 14, 2000)

Zoology ignorant Al: "A zebra does not change its spots." Attacking President George Bush in 1992. (The Toronto Sun, 11/19/95)

Latin ignorant Al: "We can build a collective civic space large enough for all our separate identities, that we can be e pluribus unum -- out of one, many." Except, "E Pluribus Unum" is the motto on the Great Seal of the United States of America, and means, "out of many, one." (January 1994. From a Milwaukee speech to the Institute of World Affairs as quoted in Investor's Business Daily, October 25, 1996.)

Bible Studies ignorant Al: "Speaking from my own religious tradition in this Christmas season, 2,000 years ago a homeless woman gave birth to a homeless child in a manger because the inn was full." (Press Conference at HUD, 12/22/97; George Will column, Sunday May 17 1998)

Active campaigner Al: "I certainly learned a great deal from 3,000 town hall meetings across my home state of Tennessee over a 16-year period" in Congress, Gore told NPR's Bob Edwards. Except, that's 187 town hall meetings per year -- one every other day for 16 years.

Pretending to be honorable Al: "My first pledge will be to restore integrity to the White House. And I'll fire anyone who has lied to the American people or the United States Congress." (Al Gore, in a February 2, 1988 presidential debate)

Tobacco seller Al: "Throughout most of my life, I raised tobacco. I want you to know that with my own hands, all of my life, I put it in the plant beds and transferred it. I've hoed it. I've dug in it. I've sprayed it, I've chopped it, I've shredded it, spiked it, put it in the barn and stripped it and sold it. (Newsday, 2/26/88)

Blind and stupid Al: "I didn't realize I was in a Buddhist temple."

Or, lying to the FBI Al: According to notes of a 1998 interview, he drank a lot of iced tea during meetings about that Buddhist temple fund-raiser, which "could have necessitated a restroom break" and he didn't hear it was a fund-raiser. (New York Times, 3/11/00)

Delusions of grandeur Al: "I was the author of that proposal. I wrote that. ... That is something for which I have been the principal proponent for a long time." (Time Magazine November 1, 1999, on the Earned Income Tax Credit. That became law in 1975, while Al was a newspaper reporter).

The prestidigitator Al: "I am not asking you to read my lips. I'm asking you to read my heart! And watch my feet! And watch the work of my hands!" (To an NAACP meeting, per CBS July 12, 2000)

Totally confused Al: "It's not just about more money. It's about higher standards, accountability -- new ideas. But we can't do it without new resources. I will invest far more in our schools -- in the long-run, a second- class education always costs more than a first-class education." (Speech to the Democratic National Convention Aug. 18, 2000)

Compassionate Al: "If I was the parent of a child who went to an inner-city school that was failing, I might be for vouchers, too." (Boston Globe editorial by George F. Will, Aug. 31, 2000)

NEA controlled Al: "And I will not go along with any plan that would drain taxpayer money away from our public schools and give it to private schools in the form of vouchers." (Speech to the Democratic National Convention Aug. 18, 2000)

Do as I say, not as I do Al: "Right now, the science does not show me, or the experts whose judgment I trust, that it is the proper medication for pain and that there are not better alternatives available in every situation," Gore told kids about marijuana at a grade school visit in a low-income neighborhood near downtown Los Angeles. (Ceci Connolly, Washington Post, May 12, 2000)

Big government socialist Al: "I support the elimination of this don't ask-don't tell policy. I helped to pass the toughest new gun control measures in a generation. I believe that we ought to have total license ID's for the purchase of new handguns. I think we ought to ban assault weapons and Saturday night specials and junk guns. I also am committed to the principle of high quality affordable health care for all. And I don't really care what kind of label people apply to those positions and views." (Democratic Debate in Durham, NH Jan 5, 2000)
